Top 10 Worst Tractors Ever
Переглядів 763 тис.6 років тому
There are plenty of opinions about the best tractor ever made, but what was the worst? I set out to see what folks thought to be the worst tractor they've ever come across, and I made this Top (bottom?) 10 list based on the comments found in online message forums. Let me know what you think the worst tractor is and which tractors you think I got wrong in the comments! Check out my write-up for ...
Top 10 Greatest Tractors of All Time
Переглядів 1,6 млн6 років тому
I think these are the 10 greatest tractors of all time. I based "greatest" on popularity, influence on the industry, and innovation. I threw in some honorable mentions too because it is not easy to nail down to just 10 tractors. Let me know what your 10 greatest tractors list looks like. (Argh, re-uploading - messed it up trying to edit in UA-cam) My full write-up: www.brushcountryfarm.com/2018...
Funny Tractor Scams on Craigslist

I'm often looking for tractors on Craigslist, and often finding silly scams. They're pretty obvious, and kind of funny. Enjoy a chuckle.

Mattress Firms everywhere! Why so many?
Переглядів 7 тис.7 років тому
I drive through this area frequently, and it dawned on me that I don't think I go a full mile without passing a Mattress Firm. Sure enough, I started counting them and they're everywhere. Just for fun, we took out the camera and the GPS to see just how close together some of them are. This kind of stuff makes me miss living in the country.
No way the farm all h had 241 hp
I’m surprised the Massey Ferguson T20 isn’t number 1. It sold in large numbers in various formats and introduced the three point hydraulic hitch plus there were several purpose built tools made to attach directly to the tractor such as a trip for-end hydraulic loader, sickle bar mower, cultivators and ploughs and even a hydraulic operated trailer pick up hitch for ease of trailer hook up.
I started with an 8N, then a 9N, they worked. Then got a Ford Jubilee, That was a real step up. Then I traded that on a brand new 1971 Ford 3000, I thought I died and went to heaven, power steering, differential, lock 8 speeds forward and two in reverse, dual stage clutch for live PTO. I am still running that tractor with about 6,000+ hours on it. The only major repair was a clutch that I did myself. I almost forgot, I went thru the ice on a pond. Somehow the brakes on the right side would not fully release and had to be replaced. I had about 20 pieces of Ford equipment, I was sad to see them get out of that business.
One of the reasons that the Oliver 1250 is bad is because they were made by Fiat, but we have one and it always has problems
What about the McCormack WD-6 and WD-9. Those were great tractors.
FIAT 640
Iam not a john deere guy but the 4020 has to be one of the most popular tractors made
No wd? Or wc?
They forgot the Cockshutt Tractors.
This whole list is a fail some of these are not ugly
The MF135 is, in practice, little different to the MF 35, and especially the 35x that preceded it
So this list was kind of haphazardly out together by someone who may not come from farming or know tractors well
Turns out people like buying tractors they can maintain & own 100% cough cough John Deere take notes cough cough
#8 and number #3 are SO wrong I love Allis and John Deere
The old Mahindra 475 bhoomiputra🥵..
A Super list of some of my favorit tractors, which were for sale in the UK
I somewhat disagree with the order. Harry Ferguson’s three Point Hitch was used on all but the Allis Chalmers, Farmall Regular, John Deere A etc. The 8N Ford used the system illegally and, by that same standard, should’ve never been built. While Fergusons TO20 and the 135 were mentioned, due to Their Engineering innovation, They should have been far higher on the list. The 135 , in My opinion is the best all around Tractor of all. Not the most Powerful but, all around useful. Fergieman
The first photo you displayed of the 8N, wasn’t a 8N it was a later model of ford tractor
The Farmall H only gets an honorable mention? This after you admit it was THE most popular of the letter series Farmalls? I would say this tractor should replace the M on your list. The M is a great tractor, but the H was MUCH more popular.
Well you would wouldn't you
I had a T E 20 great little machine my kids learnt to drive with it ❤
Probably should have called it the most popular and affordable tractors of all time, since so many great tractor were not even mentioned.
That Minneapolis Moline is COOL!!
Allis Chalmers 8000 series look way better than the John Deere’s from the early 80’s.
Where are the Oliver’s with waukesha 310 engines?
Boy are you ever WRONG
Somehow... I get the feeling.. that all these tractor's belonged to... friend's and relative's,.... No 656's.. or 3020's... or 180XT's,... popular tractor's of the 1960's,.... Oliver 1850's,.... back then when that's all you seen..........
Would add the John deer 2030 diesel would eat brakes up then the hydraulic system would go would also get stuck in park
First pic of the 8N was a Jubilee👎
Ah yes. The JD 4020. Awesome machine.
💩👎👎👎😝
White text on light background, bye, not watchinh
I have a 1965 Massey Ferguson 180 , Great Perkins diesel ,still use it all the time.
JD 4430 should be in the honorable mention list, at least.
Learned my tractor driving as a farm kid on a 1929 Rock Island.
Fordson Major ?
The worst tractor I ever saw is my jx95 case IH 2006 has fifteen hundred hours on it it’s had five clutches ac has problem’s sense new forward and reverse is out now it’s a lemon
Really the ferguson TEA20 did more to introduce tractors to farms around the world than any other tractor ever. Rubber tyred in most countries arrived enmasse with the TEA29 Hydraulic and mechanical implementation of tractor tools was introduced through Harry Fergusons design. Even though Ford used it as his own tractor design the owner of the IP was Sir Harry, which the USA supreme Court agreed. All tractors from there forward implemented a variation of the 3 pt. linkage hydraulics. And there are still thousands of those in sheds and outdoors all over the greater world today. They were the first vehicle at the South Pole and they visited the North Pole. They crossed the Australian, Simpson Desert among many world firsts where the capacity to go where others become stuck is commonplace. However the list you presented is a very real International line up. A bit of fun actually.
I could only call the First example of the American ugly while the 8120 just looks goofy
On our Montana ranch we had a 190XT which was a decent tractor, but didn’t have live PTO (making it a pain for baling hay). Our big mistake was installing a front-end loader that flexed the frame and continually cracked the oil pan. The transmission and final drives were too lightweight for the turbocharged engine and suffered failures. We also ran a 2010 gas tractor for many years with very little trouble. The big disappointment was our Farmall 460 gas tractor. It was a real underachiever!
How you missed the 8N in this is unreal
Funny, you have the wrong picture at the Ford 8N opening. Either a Jubilee or 600 pictured.
Hey Enthusiasts. ....... what about Farmall F20?
Dont agree with all your choices, the best looking is usually the one thats yours, in my opinion
Having the 9n 2n Ferguson, and mf 135 in here is just a bad list in general. They all the same tractor
You can tell the person that wrote this never spent any time on the farm
Good top 10 but very definitely based on the US market be a different top 10 over here in the UK 👍
How about J.I. Case! Model L , LA and 930
Honorable mention, John Deere A . The numbers you cite are for the model B . Quantity and horsepower, both
I spent some time in Afghanistan. the tractor I saw repeatedly looked very much like the Massey Ferguson diesel 135. I assume they are made in India. I'll bet I saw a hundred of them all over the country.
