Great discussion, gentlemen. One slight correction, Sina-- you don't begin to realize profit with call options immediately after reaching the strike price, strike price plus premium is your breakeven, everything beyond that is profit. And much profit can be made above spot from call options that never get to strike because of the volume and open interest when sold a couple of months before expiration.

By 2029, Mstr shares will be worth thousands and Allianz can exercise their option to buy for $600 something a share. Between now and then, if needed, they can sell those bonds they hold to someone else even more bullish and cash out earlier? Kinda like liquid staking.

Land is a bad analogy. The land is equivalent to the shares. The analogy here would be paying a small premium for the right to buy the land at the current price, some time in the future if the development environment improves.

forgive me if this is a dumb question but if you are entirely in a TFSA account with no tax consequences for your trades. Would selling covered calls be literally free money? Because if your shares get called away you just buy them back immediately, maybe slightly higher depending on how fast you move but what am i missing.

Based on this, I estimate MSTR could exceed $2,000. For a BTC price of $150k, I predict MSTR > $1,000. Plan: I want to use long out-of-the-money call options on MSTR. Questions: For the duration, would you recommend Sep 2025 vs Dec 2025? For strikes, should I target $1k (given BTC $150k) or $2k (BTC $200k)? Would you wait for premiums to get cheaper before buying? I’ve used options calculators and the premiums seem “ok,” but I’m unsure how to assess if they’re fairly priced. The upside with calls appears higher than simply holding MSTR shares to $1k/$2k. Since strikes higher than $1k aren’t currently available, would you go for $1k and take the potential upside if MSTR exceeds it? How would you approach this hypothetical given the current market? Much appreciated!

The premium is too high. The better strategy is to buy 100 shares and sell covered calls out of the money. Or trade one week out day trading it. Do not hold overnight .

BTC has a pattern of going up 35 months & down 12 months. So you would get an even higher return by “rebalancing” on that schedule. Then add a MSTR kicker on the same schedule.
