So it turned out that God led me to this monastery. In this monastery there is an African American and a Chinese priest. I liked this monastery because everyone there is treated with love and care. And it doesn’t matter what nation you are, the color of your skin. If you want to feel God, pray to him. I advise you to go to this monastery. Words cannot express it. I advise you to defend the service, from the beginning to the end of the service. Many do not fully defend the service. And so spend a couple of days there. What I struggle with is that I have been in some very abusive relationships and situations, I do not seek to critique someone else as much as simply acknowledge the reality of the situation so that it can be corrected. In my experience not doing this just enables the abuser to continue their abuse. In fact I would say that what the elder has said can very easily be used by manipulative and abusive people to keep themselves in a position of control over their victims.

Memorize morning and evening prayers. Make prostrations. Pray at the end little longer, asking for what you need. Prayerful attention to God throughout the day. Psalms are good for while doing daily work. Pray as you fall asleep. Start with Psalms: 50, 102, 145 Then Psalms: 22, 23, 115, 69 Prayer ropes: Jesus prayer per bead, make prostration each time, add prayers of your own words. Lift the mind and heart to God.

This is the best St Christopher documentary I've ever read or watched. I disagree with some minor points but these are unprovable. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this project. It deserves far more views and I listen to it in the background once a month. Do the prostitutes he converted have more of a story than converting to Christianity and being martyrs?

O Holy Hierarch and Shepherd Spyridon, pray to God for us sinners!

I once bought some incense blessed on the relics of this holy saint and I put it away and some time later I went astray ,lost faith and forgot his name and it caused me grievance to have forgotten his name. His name is not something easy to remember because it's different from names that I'm used to and my memory of names is not good at all. Some time passed and As soon as I came to and my faith was restored ,I went to put up the icons for my prayer corner again Now I still didn't remember the name of the Saint but as soon as I touched the bag of incense that had been blessed on his relics, to put on my prayer corner, his name came to my mind instantly. I started reciting the trisagion by memory and Psalm 50 but I stopped in the middle of Psalm 50 because I had forgotten the rest It caused me grievance I went for the prayer book from the valaam monastery And lo and behold.. the first page I opened randomly was exactly the rest of the psalm where I had forgotten Holy Saint Spyridon,Pray for us.
