Every speed build video should be made like this. The accelerated uncut video of the guys actually making the build is just awkward imo.

It seems you use easing in/out a lot, but you should be able to take more juice out of Dragonframe if you use the animation lines with tickmarks, I don't remember how are they called, but DF has an automatic tickmark generator you can control with a graphic that has 2 handles. This is one of the great, powerful features it has. Congratulations on getting Dragonframe, that my boy is a grrrreat investment!

Hey mate, just so you know you are not alone at all in regard to being a perfectionist. Heck, if only I had the motivation to gather all of my unfinished stuff like you did, haha! Sometimes when you watch your icon (assuming FancyPants plays a large role in your inspiration/quality standard) you feel like it's never enough because you've held yourself to such a high standard, and I know the feel. Glad to hear from you though, hope you get back into brickfilming soon! (Speaking of which, so do I...)

Its fully relatable. I myself have decided to just quit lego animation for a time and just film with a real camera. I hope you find a way to continue your work! One tip. try different things! Make a real short film or an interview! Try to find the things that suit you the best.

@O'Neal Reply button is showing up so hopefully you'll still see this. iKIT Movie is a great program for beginner stop-motion Animation. If you've already tried stop-motion animation or want to explore a bit more without investing, there are some free animation programs or you can just use iMOVIE or Windows Movie Maker. For amateurs and beginners iKIT is great, in the most recent update they added HD support and masking which are excellent features. The customer support hasn't been great recently but nonetheless I still recommend them. The interface and functions of the program are good and there's plenty of sound effects and music tracks that you can add in, or have your own personal ones. It offers the software kit for $60 or $80 if I recall correctly and a kit with a webcam for a bit more, but I don't recommend doing that, either get a webcam such as the Logitech C920 or a DSLR. It's a good investment. However if you are really interested in animating then you could consider investing in Dragonframe, which is essentially the top-of-the-line program built for top-of-the-line equipment, it's the Adobe After Effects equivalent but decently priced for what it offers ($300).
