I feel very Blessed to be a Stay at home Dad even though neighbors won't talk to me because I assume they think I'm lazy but this is a very busy job being a Dad and I wouldn't trade it for the World.

The Son Rises Lets see if i got this" the old-timers had perfected the art of slacking off, counting down the days to retirement under the lenient eye of Mr. Old and tired Boss. But when the bosses son, took over, armed with ambition and a knack for efficiency, the lazy crew saw their easy ride coming to an end. They did everything in their power to trip up the son, even calling HR and spreading rumors about his management style. BTW the newer more ambitious worker, like d the new style of doing proper business and getting things done. But despite His, best efforts the older workers sabotage the new boss and f#ck&d it all up, for them, the old man, ( they claimed the loved) the new workers who all they wanted was to feed their families, like the old worker had done years before they grew; fat , lazy, and most of all greedy... . You know it kinda does fit... lol😁

I make 130k and then make 20k extra in consulting work. My wife works but she may stop soon. We can do it for sure but damn it’s still scary to be the sole provider.

If Jordan's son or daughter committed a horrible crime, my guess is, Jordan would not want them put to death. And the same goes for all of us. We wouldn't want out own "BELOVED" family members put to death. So ... why would we WANT to apply a different set of laws to the members of other families? Jordan claims to believe in a god, and that must mean that he believes that "the god of his devotion" also agrees with the death penalty. WOW! Do you think that just maybe Jordan's assessments are "all in his HEAD."

My mom had a full time job until me and my two older brothers came along. She quit her job to be a SAHM. My dad was a college educated, white collar worker. Both were very involved in our raising. When I turned 7, my dad lost his job and had take one gig after another to make ends meet until he could land a permanent job. This was during the 90s when it was one recession after another. We deeply struggled financially. I dont remember anything prior to age 7, but I distinctly remember the many years after in which we were so poor they had to borrow a friend's credit card to buy food and a few Christmas gifts for us. We couldn't afford decent running cars and I remember us constantly breaking down on the side of the road. My mom eventually was forced to go back to college and re-enter the workforce because they just couldn't survive anymore, but it was too late. The permanent damage was done. It has made me financially risk adverse and one of the major reasons I chose not to have kids. I'm here to tell you, kids dont remember jack shit when they are four, five years old. They don't remember you playing with them at age 5. But they will remember the embarrassment and shame from having to bum rides and food off neighbors and teachers because there is no money to buy the necessities, or getting made fun of because your pants and shirts are too short because you can't afford to buy new clothes. Ladies, don't believe this attempt at guilt tripping. Stay in the workforce and keep that lifeline of financial independence alive.

My husband and I had twins our first time trying for kids and we hadn’t planned financially for that. We live on his very nice salary but we also bought a house while I was pregnant (in NY no less) and I gave up my career because we can’t swing childcare and a mortgage . I don’t regret it one bit, I get stuck with diapers and sleep schedules and crying and not leaving me alone for one second but since I realize what a small piece of life this is I try to soak it all up. No one is ever financially ready, it’s hard as hell but the joy they bring is unmatched. We often look at each other and wonder what the hell we ever did before them. My husband also used to get seasonal depression bc he’s a doer and there’s not much to do when it snows and is freezing but the babies cured that because he never feels “useless” on his days off since they came along.

This is true, BUT moms that have done all they can during the first 4 years CANNOT kill themselves over their weak moments during that time. You may look back in regret about certain things, but you grow and keep changing, and as you learn, you show your child and they grow as well. Also, never underestimate the power of apologizing to your child for things you have done wrong as you change your behavior. With this clip going viral, one piece of feedback I’ve heard from moms is major guilt that they’re not doing “enough”. But if you are doing all you can do, and working to address your own brokenness, that’s the best you can give your child. AND you still have the years between 5-10 (and even older) to keep forging them and blessing them. I know not everyone can homeschool, but if you can- it’s a huge challenge and a huge joy because it stretched out those “impactful” precious years a little longer.
