30/12/1986 Tom Edwards Thames Television in vision announcer takes continuity to a new level by filling in 'live' on air for a whole 5 minutes following a technical glitch when the next programme was not available.
He’s sooooooooooo cute here! I just love it when news people crack up or ad lib on the air or don’t take themselves too seriously…shows that they are just as human as the rest of us are.
He looks so different i would never had known that's Tom Edwards. Keep going Tom I will never forget you.
So great to see Tom again. Been through so much, but still with us and recovered :)
Of course he was on Thames itv and did very well too as well as on bbc radio 2 before that.

I was lucky enough to be there on the day and saw Tom,and the other famous DJS highlight of my year back in 2017..
why should IVC have been done away with? it dont cost anymore money does to see someone aswell as hear them does it?
I think it was a month later after those technical faults that his boss came to him and said...."You did a great job, well done". And Tom Edwards asked him..."can I send you an invoice for my new pair of trousers"?...and his boss said..."certainly not....! but I can pay you for the dry cleaning"!😊
