I think there are so many generic, trash tier, CGI fight scene, png shifting combat, badly animated, crapy storyline isekais that they need to just have a dumpster category for all of them to count as one because they ALL follow the exact same plot, storyline, art style and low budget. Smart Phone was just one of the first trash tier animes that would soon open the flood gates to others

Xenomorphs are both a threat but also cannon fodder because they will throw themselves at something until you run out of ammo or they overwhelm you and the threat being the intelligence they show when throwing everything at you won't work

Yeah, Tusk was damn messed up. The Bear mutant really did scare me. I couldn't look away from it, but it disturbed me, that's why I love it though. There's a creature or a manifestation from one of the Silent Hill games, Scarlet. That thing is creepy as hell.

When I was a kid, I was terrified by the demon monster in "Night (Curse) of the Demon" (1957). Yeah, I know that demon monster was a puppet, but it was truly hellish (literally)! At first glance, the face-hugger and adult xenomorph from "Alien" gave me the creeps. Then, there were assorted "blobs" in Horror/Sci-Fi films which made me feel uncomfortable.

Characters who can do a lot (or even everything) arent necessarily bad. Its just, a lot of them seem like prodigies. I got an oc who can do a lot of things but there are two caveats: First - hes like over 1000 years old and spent years getting good at those things (although his magic ability literally is copying so it makes it easier to learn stuff) Second - after not doing some things for years he kinda got rusty. Like he used to be able to play cello but the last time he did it was maybe 50 years ago so if he picks up one now he might just not be able to do it Shonen anime tend to get it right too. Usually the characters dont start out as super strong. Take Ichigo, Goku, Naruto, Deku... all of them arent that strong at first and get stronger as the story progresses. Of course sometimes they have like very unique and special powers nobody else has that they unlock later on, but the point is that its not like immediately there. Meanwhile in isekais its like even if they arent immediately strong, they dont take long to become strong or its like rimuru from the slime anime where he may be a weak slime but he has one if the strongest powers away right from the start I also think the all powerful mary sues are very fitting for comedy stories. Thinking of Mashle, Mob Psycho and Saiki K. Actually like idk if they would really be mary sues because their personalities are more fleshed out and flawed than your average mary sue, but in regards to power level - yeah mashle can basically punch away any enemy, but considering the tone of the manga its very much what youd expect and quite funny to see him punch super powerful mages like theyre nothing

Mary sues in my opinion can be perfect with skills and talent but they need to have some sort of flaw Also I’m thinking of an oc series and one dude is loosely based off me, granted I made him when I was like 6 or 7. He does fall in love with another character but it takes a while and is not the main focus of the characters or the story. He is also an alien who doesn’t look like me. So I don’t know if this falls into the self insert category or just a character category

I like to recommend Fruits Basket. Wonderful characters and story, little fantasy/magic but easy to get into and explains about Japanese culture and norms.

Can't start your OC Journey without making at least one of these. I would know.

The last part will be probably the most important one for be, because of the sheer amount of villains i actually want my story to have, and I have only though for now about the motivations of the three main ones, so I will have to fix all of it soon.

My oc is that, he's good at everthing he tries, but to balance it he's mostly good at the basics. Being able to be good at anything also tolls his time to improve, and won't be reaching his full potential any time, unlike my other characters who only utilize a few skills but in a mastered level.

I will forever despise the COTE anime for how much it has bastardised how people first interpret ayanokoji as a character. Dude has a lot more facets to his personality in the novels than just being the 'evil mary sue oc', especially if you've read COTE volume 0. Like I don't blame y'all for using him as an example with how he's portrayed in the anime but the lack of research is kinda...cringe ngl lmao.

I get it, Redo of the healer isn't an 'Isekai', I got the wrong information when writing this list. I still stand by my ranking of it at number 1 worst, just not of Isekai. I didn't think I would have to say this, but this is my opinion and you are allowed to have your own, yours doesn't discredit mine nor does mine discredit yours.

With the many sub genres people tend to confuse everything with Isekai because other genres are often mixed with it. Reincarnation and Regression in particular can exist without isekai but is often confused with it having to be an isekai when it can be purely fantasy. Redo of a healer is a Regression set in fantasy not isekai since the MC didn't come from a different world.

Redo of Healer isn't an isekai/transported to another world, it's a fantasy anime. It's like saying Berserk is an isekai. He was reincarnated in the same world after his death to exact vengeance. That's it.

Redo of healer feel mostly fantasy than isekai ....i hate it but its not isekai since hes in his own world alternatively i would say re monster thats redo of healer lite like srsly the protag is lawful evil compared to the old goblin ways hes a good guy but consent sex n constantly aphrodisiac his slaves till he breaks them in is still rapey as shit the system is intresting like boufuri but rape is rape .....on side note 🎵 redo of healer manga is way way worse like hes way more rapey and sadistic than what they portrayed

smarthphone isekai was imo the ancestor of weird isekai, it's not gonna win any contest for best isekai but for enjoyablity and watch something relaxing it's an 8/10 no one knows why something happen or how it works and prob neither did the writer but it's a relaxing anime with no major plot zero was a good one if you haven't watch any other isekai, or if you're below 14 years old. Bout the time when I watched it, overall decent anime with annoying tsundere but wholesome mc and similar to oreimo tsundere where the time female mc doesn't become tsundere it's the best part of the anime, also ending is pretty good, 6/10. wholesome but kinda dark at the end

I would profoundly disagree with the Realist Hero assessment. The story is fascinating, the plot is complex, and using Machiavelli as a guide is genius. The idea that you don't need special powers to lead is also essential to the argument that having studied government and the humanities in college was important to his success. He gathers people around him and creates transformational change in government by making a good civil service. He even pursues a realistic effort to abolish slavery. If you look at the surface stuff, you are missing out on a unique story.

The funny thing about the first one is that I have an oc who's most interesting aspect is his tragic backstory because he has severe depression and rarely does anything and his friends have to force him to do basic health things like eating and sleeping, so I'd say that's a good example of the first one being done well

I'm almost afraid my OC falls into "gore for the sake of gore". He's an immortal knight that has to save his princess from an immortal monster, no matter what it takes. The knight can turn back time when he's killed and the monster can regenerate on the spot. Throughout the story you see the monster kill the knight so many times to the point the knight starts developing PTSD but continues to push through to save his princess.

How a realist hero was the final straw for me in hating all generic Isekai anime. I specially hate how the main character is only interested in one girl but decides to marry all the girls after being gaslight into it. The last girl that shows up especially pisses me off because she acts like she’s better than all the girls there even though we don’t know who she is up until that point.

I don't think you've even discovered the brunt of the isekai genre. I can't really talk about the smartphone one since I haven't watched it. The realist hero is not too bad, the production seems nice. The fruit of evolution s2 was dogshit I have to agree. The gag characters and the latter half of the season 1 was not bad imo. Now, Zero no tsukaima is a cult classic. Speaking of cult classics, you botched the entire list by putting redo of healer on no 1 because it is just time travel and not even reincarnation, let alone a different world. The literal explanation is that he "healed" the time. Also, a protagonist being irredeemable does not mean that the story or the production itself is bad. I am going to look up my watched list and put a top 5 in here in a few hours. Spoilers: no 1 is definitely conception.

I'm gonna call this list a complete fail. Not because of your opinions on the anime you listed as that is subjective, but rather because the anime you chose as the number 1 worst isekai of all time IS NOT EVEN AN ISEKAI. This is like making a soda tier list and saying that chocolate milk is the worst kind of soda. At the start of the video, you defined isekai as an anime where the main character is reincarnated into a fantasy world. This definition is not complete because it excludes anime where characters are summoned into another world while they are alive such as The Wrong Way to use Healing Magic, and anime where characters can freely travel between Earth and the fantasy world such as Gate. That aside, for an anime to be considered isekai, the protagonist must be from Earth and in the case of Redo of Healer, that just isn't true. The protagonist is born and raised on the fantasy world and Earth is never mentioned. It its also worth noting that he is never reincarnated, he just casts a spell to travel back in time, so Redo of Healer also fails to meet your own definition of isekai. Anime planet is the most comprehensive tag database for anime that I'm aware of and it can be a good guideline for Top X anime with X tag style videos.

Realist Hero? Dumpster fire tier list.

If you don't like Redo of Healer and want the story more like you described try the manga "Fukushuu o Koinegau Saikyou Yuusha wa, Yami no Chikara de Senmetsu Musou Suru". Never watched or read Redo of Healer but i'm pretty certain my recommendation is much much better. Don't get me wrong still sexual content involved. Straight up gore and basically everyone in the show is like the devils incarnate lol
