We lived off this st....willow, the red light district until the turn off for the overlook section, where the driver made a U-Turn. Across from where the driver turned around is Chapman st and the second rt is lincoln. We were the corner house. Tucked away and we had tall bushes surrounding the house. We had our little haven. We lived in Waterbury for 15 years and didn't feel unsafe until the last year. We moved about 8 years ago but I still drive through and shop in Waterbury often. I'll use the back roads to get around the traffic. We still go to Fulton Park and we don't live far from bucks hill school. I never had a problem on willow. People always just minded their own. I still had my windows up and doors locked though.

Hi again CT driver Crew! I grew up in Hartford, so every summer we would go to Bristol to the oldest amusement park in the US. Lake Compounce. I think I spelled that right🤔Anyway, I think they still have the original wooden rollercoaster and The Laugh in the Dark ride. I loved playing Skee Ball and sometimes we would go swimming in the lake or take the power boat ride. I really miss going there as a kid and now at 76 I would love to see it one more time. Thank you CT Driver Crew for these drive throughs of my home state. And as always, may you be safe and well and keep on drivin'!🥰

I do ride share and Waterbury and Hartford are the worst cities to work in. I get out as soon asd I can.

Bristol... where most of the cars run around with illegal opaque blacked out windows with impunity and ppl wonder why there are so many car jackings, parking lot thefts, criminals jumping out of cars and running up on people. Try Walking out of Walmart at night when criminals in a black box are sitting right next to your car with no other cars around and you have to walk out and up to your car and have absolutely no idea what might happen. Rather, you KNOW what might happen.

You're right. Willow is bad. The whole neighborhood is bad. I've seen its evolution over 35 years. Murders and gunshots not uncommon. It's why I quit working for Amazon. I was delivering there. Fuck that.

We went to Wilby High School. Worked at a Deli on top of Willow. Fulton Park was beautiful. Left Waterbury in 98. Took my daughter to Deep River for High School. Even the teachers were criminals in Wtby. God rescued us from that forsaken place.

Aw, Fulton Park, and the big-pond. That's where I learned to ice skate at the age of 4. The little pond is where my brother, Johnny, saved my little sister, Theresa, from drowning.

It got so bad, even St Margaret's church and school, shuttered the doors and sold the land and buildings off. I went to grammar school, there, and received an excellent education. Though I left the Catholic Church, finding it impossible to reconcile their teachings with reality, I hated to see it sold. It's on the right, at about 10:50, at Ludlow St and Willow. This was a great neighborhood, to grow up in, in the sixties and into the early seventies.

Listen man I’m from Waterbury there’s BAD everywhere. Waterbury is not THAT BAD maybe get a little tougher. There is actually nice places to live in Waterbury Connecticut

I was born and raised in New Haven, I moved out of the state twice only to come back to New Haven 😑, but I also spent a year in Stamford which I enjoyed although it’s a little pricey. I’ve been to Danbury many times, but never “in” Danbury if makes sense. Only to the mall and back to the highway. So it’s nice seeing glimpses of the town. I’m not sure what time of day that was or year but those are some pretty quiet pj’s.
