The movie would probably hold up a lot longer if they took another pass at it lol. Keep the shot composition, directing, and audio exactly the same. But completely redo the animation, character models, rendering and lighting. If they managed to pull that off, I think a lot of people would be happy to watch the new version. Though the way nostalgia and especially Christmas media holds older work in a higher regard than remakes and newer work, I think a lot of people would go out of their way to watch the original.

The visuals of this film aged a lot better than I thought. The idea of a 2nd film possibly being in the works though doesn't exactly inspire any positive emotions in me. Yeah, I think that movie would suck donkey balls just based on the idea alone. Where the fuck do you even take Polar Express for a sequel? Also, I don't know who thought a scene where a big steam train drifts on ice was a good idea, but whoever that guy is, he's a fucking genius.

Henry's love for nature still shines in the Hit era.

The Miller era ruins the characters while the Brenner era fixes them, most of them.
