    The instructions say to place your bike on a side stand on a flat surface. It does not say to be positioned straight. If you position your bike straight and fill the lower limit of the oil inlet, the amount of oil will increase, what do you think?

    You should drain it on the side stand so you get it all out first, then lift it on a level stand to refill it.

      @farooqkhan3729 23 дні тому

      bingo - surprised no one else noticed that. Must tilt on side stand to drain fully. In fact, even rotate wheel - more old oil comes out.

    Note that the socket size for the bolts is 17mm (not mentioned). Best to warm the oil some with a 3-5 min ride so all the 'crap' is stirred up better to flow out, and rotate the wheel a few turns while draining to get it all out. Cute dog added some entertainment. Thanks for not adding annoying music, like many of these vids do. 👍

    From the manual ride the moto first to warm the fluid. Slowly turn rear wheel to drain all the old oil. I did notice plenty of extra comes out when you roll the bike forward. Place moto on its side stand on level surface to fill. This is hard to do straight from the bottle because you have to get the nozzle in pretty deep to get past the shelf inside there. Next time I’m going to fill it with a turkey baster or something. Update: I bought a proper oil can for the job

  • @jimbailey824

    Mine were not that simple. It took me almost an hour. And once I did get them back together and on they were so tight I couldn’t push the bike forward or backward. The piston was pushed in as far as it would go. I had to use a rubber mallet to get the holes to lineup Road at three or 4 miles a little bit at a time. They are seated correctly they don’t make any noise but they got really hot. And no one ever mentions the clip that’s inside the caliper that keeps falling out. I’m hoping if I ride a little bit of the time they will wear down. And free up. If not I’m just gonna put the old pads back on

    I have a 2015 Stateline 1300. First bike. Would you change this oil the same frequency as the engine oil? What would be the mileage you would recommend on these changes?

    • @dailygarageadventures2848
      @dailygarageadventures2848 2 роки тому

      I believe honda recommends every 15k miles for the rear diff/drive oil. For the engine oil I usually do about every 2 to 3 thousand miles depending on how hard I've been on the bike
