Fox Theater in Detroit. I was there, it was a great concert for visual effects alone.

The fact that you managed to figure out not only which songs were being played for each snippet of video, but the exact **sections** of the songs, is genuinely mind-blowing to me - especially considering how fragmented the video segments are. Like, I'm legitimately sitting here in total shock, just blown away that you were able to pull this off with such precision. This is a hell of archival feat on the part of the uploader. At 40:02 watching Bob Mothersbaugh using the microphone stand as a slide on the guitar strings is just sensational. Can’t believe I’m actually seeing Devo this Sunday in Sydney. I believe they will whip. It. Good!

They have listened to their fan base. 5 shows in Australia. I suspect that the drummer Josh has parted ways, and gone with some well known band and betrayed his promise to always tour with DEVO. I suspect that this is why there 50th show was void of their later songs which I think are some of their best. Their 50-anniversary show should show the complete journey not just the early years. Something For Everybody is an iconic mature and important piece of DEVO and i believe that their concert at Whistler in 2010 (Medal Park) was the best of new and old blend. I hope and I will post on their Facebook site to encourage a true representation of their 50 years of 'devolution.'

I was at this show, my first big rock concert. Won tickets via 2SM call-in competition. Seventh or eighth row from memory. It was amazing.

I was at this show and still have the ticket stub. The opening band was the Skunks from Austin (who we loudly booed off stage). By contrast, we absolutely LOVED DEVO and watched the ENTIRE show standing on our chairs! Are we not men?!

Holy crap, I didn’t know this existed. I was but a young 17 year old spud when I attended this concert. It was definitely the best concert I’ve ever gone to, and I’ve seen a lot of concerts between then and now. Thank you for posting this; it really takes me back to that time and place in the early 80s when things were optimistic and the future held so much promise.

I have this on cassette..somewhere!! It was a 4mmm broadcast from 1982. I think I remember hearing a “see you later San Francisco” at the end of Working in the coal mine”.
