Here's my old TL1000S on the dyno. This TL was custom because he had a GSXR750 USD and a custom made exhaust. He did 125bhp on the rear wheal with 115 NM torque

inertia, because the rear wheel is not on the ground, the gears still spinning as there is no resistance the rear wheel still turns.

I think its down to the oil in the gear box moving around but could be wrong?
Loved my old 97 TL...dyno'd at 125hp and 80ft/lb of torque with the K&N, a TwoBros 2-into-1 pipe, air box mod and mild head work. :D

The clutch pack is bathed in oil, so even when the bike isn't in gear, the oil will impart a bit of friction on the drivetrain.

97 model is the best. Full power. Fit Ohlins rear damper, TFI unit and a SV1000 thermostat makes the 97 into a fire breathing hell beast.

Whats not to like about a 90 degree V Twin. I had a green 97 model for five years, with a power commander II and a k&n air filter. that's all i added and it was a handful to hang onto at the edge but so much fun. I acquired a degenerative disc disease in my spine; after several operations and a level 2 fusion I couldn't last more than thirty minutes in the saddle. Best bike i ever owned.
