Inside Job | Rand Ridley and Tomiko: What Went Wrong ?
Переглядів 2,1 тис.2 роки тому
A video analysis on the one and only Rand Ridley from Netflix's Inside Job. The iconic project reboot scene from PART 2 episode 7 had a lot to say about Rand Ridley's motives as a character. I thought I share my thoughts on the scene. It's so sad that Netflix cancelled Inside Job 😢. #rickandmorty #ricksanchez #cartoon #rickandmorty #rickandmortyseason6 #evilmorty Rick takes every opportunity he can to assert his dominance, and one of the ways he does this is with his constant claim to godhood. I thought we take a minute to peel back the layers and examine what actually makes Rick a God. I also had the chance to watch Rick and Morty season 6 and it was pretty awesome. CONTE...

Belos: "The attempt by the wild magic on my life has left me scared and deformed. But I assure you, fellow citizens, my resolve has NEVER been stronger!"
Amon
Yes many are traumatized but heres the difference she was traumatized at a much younger age as the others which makes her mental health issues far worse.
I know she’s traumatized and has her reasons but it’s really hard to sympathize with someone who is so selfish who just lives to hurt people (and enjoys do it on top of that….)
why the disney animated shows give us better villains than the actual movies now?
Lol no idea
I wanted to like her but I just couldn’t. Especially throughout S1. Narratively she was frustrating since ep 3. And then she wanted to test Vi’s unconditionally for her but was so self centered and didn’t even care how she felt or what she put her through. She was more tolerable to watch after she met Isha, (even tho I have my problems with Isha as a character) but yeah.
Okay but Jayce and Mel of all people who want to bring Jinx to justice. I like Jinx because she is the force of the consequences of everything that happened around her. The harsh trust is Piltover and it greedy, irnogrant never make any chance until Jinx showing them what the consequences could be. I hate Mel and Jayce better. In real life, we hate a murder than the one that created nuke. Not speaking about ss2 because she redeemed herself.
I am glad that Philip/Belos is finally brought to justice for all his misdeeds ✌️😎👍
Love the video btw, but can you please tell me what music is playing in the background the woman singing?
What time stamp ?
If only Disney's films had this layer to their villains, similar to Belos. The one that comes to mind is Claude Frollo. Just like Belos, Frollo is a liar, manipulator, and a hypocrite
I would love to get your take on the new season. How do you think the Arcane writers handled Jinx in the end.
The good man buried inside Warwick 😭
I know 😪
Thoughts on jayce in s2?
Where is our next video frined. We are waiting...
😅.......
Jinx is so me
It was my first thought. He was like a beacon of light in their eyes
So far Viktor's is actually my favorite of the various story lines. Mostly because I'm really interested to see how Riot is using Arcane to clean up and/or improve certain aspects of their canon lore, including Viktor's origin story and abilities. I'm actually an atheist, so I don't have a personal/spiritual connection to this kind of thing. But I did study religion, and the universality of religious themes in storytelling is imo an underused story opportunity, especially in situations like this where the story is set in a different universe unconnected to ours with an option to use religious imagery without it actually being meant to literally represent one of the Earthly religions (*cough* Narnia *cough*). Can't wait to see where they take this in acts 2 and 3.
Same I'm curious to see where it goes.

It is hard being me. Reagan
Belos: "Wild magic angers the titan" "My family has been hurt by wild magic" The truth: Magic goes against his Puritan world view from colonial New England and a wild magic witch "took" his brother away from him.
Yes. 😊 Loved it.

No say it with me "Bae-lous" 🙃💅

as much as i love vi and how the fandom loves jinx, the two sisters were honestly the characters i found irked my nerves the most. they were both kids, but the fact that jinx blames everyone else for the way she came out and her erratic behavior and problems despite being painted out as this smart minded individual was extremely annoying to me. even more so, people blame vi for what happened in episode 3 but i honestly blamed vi for not being hard *enough* on powder. she was not 7 or 8, she was around 10 or 11 and she knew better. vi defending her sister from actual valid criticism from mylo and silco doing the same thing in her teen years is ultimately jinx’s biggest flaw. she’s convinced herself she can hurt people and get away with it, or that it’s valid bc of trauma and idk how people can like a character like that. she’s written beautifully, but without the flashy flashbacks and constant reminders of “how sad jinx is and how much vi wronged her” it’s horrifying that vi is literally defending a person who kills many pilties and zaunites alike, is a stalker, killed her own family out of this selfish need of just to feel useful and literally nuked the government. she’s spoiled, self entitled and in the real world, people are not going to care about what traumas and mental illnesses you have if you’re a murderer and in the real world, siblings wouldn’t just forgive you for murdering your dad and brothers just because you “only wanted to help” it wasn’t just a little mistake, lives were lost. and everyone blaming vi for how she reacted in that scene was just awful to me and why i find it hard to like jinx
Say it with me be-low-s
Never 😄😅
I like the depiction of the supressed memories. The freezing body and the mind that screams in silence just to be shut down again with all the might one has. Nearly 100 percent on point. Though physical pain usually gets me back to "reality" very quick. Her inner fight must be insane to supress hot coffee on her hand for this long.
"BaLo'ses mind" boy what
Bae-loes ❤️
@@magblogs buy loose 👍👍👍
She can be fix.
lol
Belos is an excellent villain. And scarily real in a sense
Using 'Married Life' from the Up soundtrack is uniquely cruel /pos
The real question is who is worse Ran Ridley or Rick Sanchez As terrible of a father Rick Sanchez was from what I’ve seen he’s actually aware of how bad he is yet still loves his daughter and family Idk about Jerry but sure Ran Ridley on the other hand actually removed/altered memories and used Reagan as a project and cared about her more only because he can get his job back , not because she’s his daughter which is pretty fuked up
You should try to make a sequel/remake to this!
Been a minute since I visited Owl house 😄
You can tell that woman who speaking has never been approached by a man in her whole life
A seemingly god like individual hides an ugly soul.
Rand Ridley makes Peter Griffin seem better at parenting by comparison
lol
You really missed the part where jinx wanted the same thing and that’s why she let go of the bomb rather then continuing the struggle.
Yeah...but I think she's was too far gone by then.
I hate Rand so much the dude Fuckking sucks
So I know this is an old video but I just wanted to comment while it is a nice vid I do disagree about what was said about luz you see in the beginning Luz’s big issue wasn’t about trying to attain the things she lacked in life Luz’s issue was the fact that she was treated as an outcast and was ostracized by other people who saw her as a weirdo and a freak and as a result she never had friends in her life so she’s had to struggle being alone and even had to endure bullying and things only got worse after her father passed away which is something that sticks with you forever. Sure she had her mom with her but there is only so much that a parent especially a single one can do to help their child with their issues and a reason I feel for luz going to the isles and staying there for the summer was because when camila sent her to reality check camp ( a camp that would have forced luz to conform to society and be normal and reduce her creativity) caused luz to feel like even her own mother was ostracizing her. Sure vee may have had a worse life but Luz’s life wasn’t perfect but no means and she didn’t have it good like vee just assumed she did she had her own issues to deal with and it’s never right to compare two people’s lives and issues with each other as it’s pointless and insensitive and even disrespectful to do so everyone’s issues are importent and deserve respect and understanding which is what vee failed to do. I never believed that vee was being fair to luz when she told luz she resented her since she knew nothing about the issues that luz had to deal with at home and only made assumptions about luz and her life without actually trying to understand her and her issues. There were many people who vee had a right to resent such as belos and all those involved with her captivity but luz did not deserve vee’s resentment at all. Luz didn’t stay in the isles and lied to her mom for the thrill of it like vee assumed but rather she didn’t want to go to a place that would make her change who she is and make her feel like being herself was a bad thing and I never believed that sending her to reality check was a good thing at all if anything it would have just made things worse for luz. If anything they should have sent luz to a creative arts camp where she could express her creativity in a productive way while possibly meeting kids who share her interests and make friends. While Luz’s decision to stay on the isles was initially because she wanted to live out her witch fantasy that all changed when she met people who were outcasts like her in king and eda and finally made friends for the first time in her life who helped her grow and change as a person and she made connections with others and it was those connections that are what truly made her want to stay. On another note I don’t think vee had any right to judge or condemn luz on her actions considering she herself was guilty of stealing Luz’s identity, lying to camila about said identity for months, throwing away Luz’s belongings in the garbage which could have included momentos from her father, and trying to replace Luz and take her life for herself none of which were good things at all. While I understand vee wanting to escape from belos and live a normal life she was still wrong to try to steal Luz’s life and replace her which was no better and perhaps worse then luz lying to her mother and going to the isles instead of the camp for the summer. In the end both luz and vee were misguided on their actions not just one or the other and I believe vee should have gotten called out for her actions as well and had an episode where she learns to better understand luz and how wrong she had been about her and how unfair her resentment towards luz had been. Both girls weren’t in the right with their actions but both vee AND luz had sympathetic reasons for doing what they did and that’s what I believe we all need to understand vee wasn’t anymore innocent in her actions than luz was with hers but luz also had sympathetic reasons for hers just as vee did.
Well said. Thanks for actually taking the time to share your thoughts on the show. They both had sympathetic reasons
@@magblogs exactly thank you for taking the time to reply back I appreciate it I wish we had gotten an episode where vee and luz had a heart to heart talk where vee begins to understand luz better and her issues she had to deal with at home since luz didn’t leave to the demon realm for the thirll of it or because she had a good life because it wasn’t it wasn’t as bad as vee’s but she had her own issues to deal with and that was something vee needed to understand and that her own actions weren’t any better than Luz’s and luz had sympathetic reasons for her actions just as vee did. I still feel like vee should have gotten some call out for throwing Luz’s stuff away since that definitely wasn’t ok along with trying to replace her and her unfair resentment. And I also feel like that whole scenario would have helped in beginning luz and vee bonding together as sisters which we unfortunately never got to see at all in canon due to the cancellation.
I wish there was a third season
Same.
I think there was only one e season split into 2 parts.
breaking down the dad's personality sounds VERY LONELY. First attempting to isolate yourself from others due to the talent differences and then not even trying to bond with those up the food chain by basically saying "emotional bonds are useless." WOW I know it's fiction but bro is acting like best of the best.
That's Rand Ridley for ya 🙃
I'm with Rand on this one, well not about the using your daughter as a tool, but I'm with Rand about friends holding you back and being worth nothing in the long run.
😄...it depends what kind of friends you got.
@@magblogs I had friends, all types, they all have held me back, they all betrayed me, turned me in for my (non police worthy) crimes against people in my high school, and despite being part of it, left themselves out, pinning all of their crimes on me too, I LOST EVERYTHING because of friends. Friend's are fucking useless and untrustworthy, all they do is hold you back, Rand Ridley is right!
He plays god. Like a character. Saying he knows the will of what is essentially God or just the Titan sound reminiscent of real people saying it's "not in God's will". He's using a real manipulation method that would work on more religious people. Seeing as the witches kinda saw the Titan as a god, they would fall into this same trap. I never saw this similarity until now. It shows the kind of evil Belos is. Using people's own beliefs as a weapon against them.
yeesss they canceled ižt but i still watch
I miss the show. It has a lot of potential
But that’s just a theory
A Film Theory 🎥...aaaaaaaand Cut 🎬
6:43 sir you are gonna be so disappointed
?
?
It seems he at first had good intentions of making sure Reagan would succeed, but executed these intentions horribly, and his intentions later devolved into keeping himself at the top instead.
Yeah there's definitely a part of Rand that cares for Reagan without a doubt but it's lost somewhere with all the other stuff.
Sadly it got canceled I think
yup
If they could finished the series, it would explain a lot more, because let's admit, this thread is unfinished, it leaves many questions about why her father has changed over the years. For me, his explanation at the end of Part 2 was not sufficient due to the scenes we were shown throughout the series. There are too many disadvantages for him than advantages.
Any show with this art style sucks and shouldn't be watched
?
Well he started by naming his daughter Reagan, name is enough to fuck over a kid alone. Choose the name better parents :P also spell it correctly unless you really want to fuck them over in school
Can someone tell him to stop saying Bae-los...
