After staying in Shizuoka for a month about a year and a half ago, I've kept my eyes and ears open for hardcore from the prefecture. Deadless Muss, with their utterly baffling name, were perhaps the most well-known hardcore act in Shizuoka ("muss" is actually an obscure term for chaos -- y'know, the ol' phrase "no fuss, no muss"; "deadless", I can only assume, means "immortal" or "ceaseless". So Deadless Muss was most likely intended to mean something along the lines of Non-Stop Chaos).
I had heard one track of this before, but the rest of the album was just impossible to find. I finally, FINALLY tracked it down, and I'm relieved to report that I find it to be their best work, hands down. Worth the time and effort. I've included a scan of the lyric sheet (not my own). Reading those lyrics, and knowing they chose a name as bizarre as Deadless Muss, it's really weird and disorienting to hear their lead singer bust out some very fluent-sounding English at 04:04.
