What is the first song? What kind of banjo is that,?
The first tune is called "Winder Slide." It's an Old-time tune from the 1980s by a Ohioan fiddler named Joe LaRose. It's a Bart Reiter - Buckbee model!

the microtonality in this piece is so beautiful! is all of the tuning in just intonation?
Thank you! It's binaural beating! The musicians on stage left are tuned to A4=432 Hz (and all proportional pitches) while the musicians on stage right are tuned to A4=440 Hz (and all proportional pitches). The difference of 8 Hz has been shown to promote slower heart rates and more relaxed states.
A Deering Goodtime II banjo! My wife has one purchased in 2021. American made and less than $800 and only about 6 lbs. I prefer the sound of Scruggs style playing, but your playing is authenic clawhammer, and the way 5 string banjo was traditionally played. Also, you do it well.
