This seems to be a common problem with the Sprinter/Crafter. I remove the side step, replace the sliding door mechanism, give it all a spruce up and paint, and then replace the side step. The plastic side trim panels allow water to run behind them, and behind the plastic lugs. The water then runs down the inside of the van, and 'should' eventually find its way out through drain holes in the bottom of the sills. But what happens when there's insulation on the inside of the walls, or the drain holes get blocked. It's a lot easier to just stop the water getting in there. Part 1 ua-...
