My first fossil hunting trip down to Hawsker in quite a while, much to my shame. The area provides fossils from the Middle and Upper Lias, and provides a chance to find a greater diversity of things than normal on one of my hunts. Come along for the adventure as we find some rarities and some new ammonites for my collection.

New year and winter brings a fantastic chance to get out and explore the Yorkshire coast for amazing Jurassic fossils. For my first hunt of the year, there really is only one place to go... Ravenscar. It is my favourite place on the Yorkshire coast for fossil hunting, and it provides a chance to find some incredibly rare Upper Lias ammonites and marine reptiles. Come along!

My final fossil hunt for 2024, and what a doozy it was! I return to Saltwick Bay, one of my favourite places that is known for relatively easy hunting and some spectacular ammonites. What I find however is not just some ammonites, it's a much rarer thing which is new to my collection and was on my wanted list!

After a year with 15ish hunts to Ravenscar, it is time to have my final hunt there for 2024. It's my favourite place, full of fantastic Jurassic aged fossils. Come along and see what we find today!

I'm back! With big news... My wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and both she and baby are doing well. This also means I can get back out fossil hunting for the Jurassic aged wonders on the Yorkshire coast. I picked an old classic as I continue my quest for a Phylloceras ammonite.
