Too bad you didn’t have any archers. Should sent a unit to harass the smaller enemy unit while the rest take advantage of the hill, forcing the enemy to fight up. @ 5:30. Great game. Fun watch.

Using Fleet on Rome is pretty much useless. They are hardcoded to generate wealth out of nowhere so they can expand and be the "Roman Empire". Ofcourse this applies to battles too. If you let AI take control you will lose battles that seem one sided towards you. Focus on building your economy by capturing key cities in Italy, preferably from the Scippi or the Brutus. You will have to play the battles themselves, despite how small they might be, because the game is just biased towards the Romans.

It is pure joy to see UA-camrs still uploading Rome I after decades. Thank You man!

Thanks for doing this game! I think this is the only proper lets play of this game this decade since LockeLackeys he did in 2011. Seems like most gameplay only shows the first level which is a shame since the first two levels are kind of odd balls compared to the rest of the game! This games definately a favourite of mine and I feel there havent been any games that scratch the same itch this one does!

if you want to make merchant profitable , you sent them to distant towns from the one recruited , for example send them from rhodes or alexandria to antioch, from larissa to segesta etc , and put them inside the city , they generate much more . antioch, segesta , jeruselim , carthage cordoba are the most profitable so you send more than one to these city

as a veteran player (whose been playing since classic DS), its super fun watching this! Seeing new players learn the tides of the game is always a blast!!! Looking forwards to seeing the next ep <3 ps, i recommend getting a mod called "campfire respawn", it makes it easier reviving your friends! All you do is build a fire (away from important structures) and your friend can haunt it! Might make it easier while you learn the game! (If it's available on xbox anyways!) Good luck surviving! 🥰
