Harlaxton Manor is not very frequently open to visitors, so when the opportunity arises, I would recommend getting a ticket and exploring the beautiful manor, and it's wonderful grounds. It is home to international students who come to study in the Manor....

When did all this happen there. An ex moved there 2004 to work for Westlers, I found it the most boring place ever
Ahh lovely videos! saw an old vid and subscribed, I'm from Skipton. Watching your vids i'm guessing you're not from a million miles away, probably Leeds?
Ahh lovely, i grew up there. When a bit older, spending the day going up and down the track drinking beer was a fun day out
Sweet memories of long ago. I miss York.
zzzzzz
Squirrel cameo!
😂
Looks like you had a fab day out… can’t imagine doing all of that charging around while on crutches, that’s hardcore!
Oh my goodness, I think my excitement took over!! I woke up loads in the middle of the night with shooting stabbing pains in my hands and arms from using my crutches so much 😐 it was worth it though!! Gosh I can't believe how fantastic London is and why oh why do I not visit more often??? I've seen lots of your videos have been in London recently. I've been enjoying them all as per usual 😀
You just love everything I really enjoyed your walk around nice one
Why not visit the transport museum, it's only a 10 minute walk from where you were.
Pretty spot on review to be fair. Been doing Gousto meals as a single guy for 2-3 months now and its been a game changer. Im cooking nearly every night now. Im going to switch to planning my own meals using their recipes soon.
It was a huge game changer for us too. We hadn't cooked in ages so it got us back into it and we're still going now :)
Lovely video… I am saving the spots you visit in your videos on a to-do list for a trip my son & I are planning for autumn next year. Hopefully we can get to them all. Have a nice day 😊🙋♀️
Oh that sounds lovely! Autumn is just stunning isn't it. The best time for a getaway in my opinion. I hope you enjoy them all :D I hope you have a lovely day too 😁
I really enjoy your channel. I originally tuned in for the York content but have found you to be so delightful, relaxing, relatable and informative. Also, your laughter makes me smile too. Thank you for sharing your experiences and I hope you have a quick recovery with your leg. Take care 🙋♀️
Awww you are so lovely, thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos! All going well I will have another one up this evening. And thank you for your well wishes about my leg :)
Lady Rhi and her trusty wheelchair take to the field with her umbrella of destruction, beware the knee crippler😆 Joking aside hope you heal up soon. That's the problem with knees if you overcompensate to protect one you hurt the other one 🤗 Get your knees really strong or you may have to rename your channel Knee-Defined 😃
Omg knee defined 😂 that made me laugh! Yeah, a pair of bad knees 🙄 not my favourite, but I'm getting there thank you :)
@@rhi-defined Glad you're on the mend. Just take it slowly. We'll enjoy your next video all the more knowing your fit and well. No doubt most places will be closed but that's normal for you 🤗😆
You've properly crocked yourself haven't you? Warwick Castle is much closer to me than you... never been! Saw some rassomolai in the shop today and thought of you, it was in a specifically halal section of the shop rather than with other puddings. Tip for a return visit, there is a Frisbee golf course a few minutes away, Quarry Park I think it's called, nice and cheap and good fun, but tends to get waterlogged in the wet so best done in summer 👍
You've never been? 😱 I think you'd enjoy it 😊 if I lived nearer I'd go quite often I enjoyed it that much! I'd take a picnic and sit with the peacocks 🦚 awww I can't believe you saw it and thought of me! Whenever I see reduced yellow stickers I'm like oooo I wonder what Chris would make of these. Woooaah Frisbee golf sounds so fun! I'll definitely have to look into it! Thanks for the tip 😁
I hope your knee heals soon! It looked a really lovely place, so much to see and do, even the rain didn't spoil it. I've never seen a bird of prey display where there are so many birds flying at once, that was spectacular!
I've never been in such a downpour whilst also having the most amazing time before! Thank you so much, I'm going to get it so strong after this whole fiasco. Oh I hadn't either, it was marvelous! They flew out from behind our heads too and were so graceful swirling round.
I rode the max in 2023,I was 64,loved it.
Another fascinating little tour Rhiannon - as someone who has had all number of knee injuries over the years I feel your pain (quite literally!) - A good excuse to rest up and chill if nothing else!!
Awww gosh, I am sorry to hear that you have knee trouble too. I hope they're not giving you jip currently! Yes, I'm trying my best to keep it well rested...though yesterday my parents pushed me around Warwick castle in a wheelchair. It was hard to get used to, but I'm so glad that I still went and experienced it. I highly recommend it by the way, if you've not been before.
(i just reviewed the comments, and I am so relieved that you’re fine 😊)
Aww that's so kind of you, thank you so much! 😊
Fingers crossed but up till that news enjoyed your walk round York
Thank you, I'm so glad 😊
Yay, I live in York. I hope you're leg is better too xx
Thank you so much, I'm making sure to rest and elevate it :) ooo that's fantastic! Do you have any places that you would recommend? I really love recommendations :)
@@rhi-defined good I'm glad to hear you're resting up, I wish you a speedy recovery. Have you tried Ask Italian in town? It's a great building to eat in and nice food. Xx
Oh, bless you. I hope you are okay x
Thank you so much, it was a bit of a change of itinerary 😅 I'm OK though thank you. Just resting my knee, and trying to get it all better :)
Hope things went well at the hospital 🤗 You know that pigeon was just doing strength training so it can snipe ppl's food right? 😆
That's so funny! 😂 I was so confused when I saw it. Aww thank you, yeah the doctor told me I need rest, ice and heat, and not to turn corners. So I look a bit strange when I hobble around in straight lines.
The milkshakes at Rage Quit are really really good...
Oooo I need to try one! I have had the cocktail "rage quit" and it was sooooo good, but I haven't had a milkshake. Thanks for the recommendation :)
On Ventura next week. Lovely for getting to see waht the cabin will be like

@ 4:43 - Taste of Shanghai. 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Delicious food too.
Pity you make the same mistake as most Vloggers- your face is on screen too much. Turn the camera around so we see more of the location and sites. Very informative and enjoyable. Thanks.
Can I put my dresses and suit in a carry on bag
You absolutely can, as long as they're carry on size bags :)
Yet another fantastic video and wow! That is one sumptuously grand Manor! What a place to study in. Not your average student digs 😆 That cake does indeed look delicious but...did I spy a PG tips label dangling from your tea cup? 😳 Oh well. I'm sure the cake and the stunning surroundings more than made up for not having a good Yorkshire brew 🍰 A grand conservatory and backyard pond may be out of your league (for now) BUT...gold painted radiators are certainly feasible. They would elevate your flat without a doubt 👑 Would you ever venture further south? I can highly recommend Chester and Stratford although I must admit it's hard to think of places that could compete with York and Yorkshire etc for natural beauty and interesting places to visit...I live in Staffordshire so if ever you venture down this way do let me know and I'd happily recommend places to see and worthwhile things to do 🤗🌺
That's so funny, not your average student digs at all 😂! I know...I was quite surprised that it was PG tips myself as well...£3.00 for PG tips too! 🙄😅 Oh my goodness, don't tempt me! I can imagine my husband coming home one day to find me painting everything in my bedroom gold 😂 I would absolutely venture further south. I love Chester, and it's been soooo long since I have been. I really must visit again soon. The same with Stratford! I have really fond memories, but it has been so long since I have been. I crashed a boat in Stratford into lots of bushes and trees and knocked my dad's hat off his head into the water 😳...it's really funny looking back now though! I'd love some recommendations 😊
Lovely day good to watch I enjoyed it loads
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm really happy that you enjoyed it 😊
Great review enjoyed it
I'm so glad you enjoyed it 😊
Amazing thank you 😊
I recently came across your youtube channel and was impressed by the quality of your content. However, after conducting a comprehensive analysis, I noticed there is room for improvement for your youtube channel for getting more visitors and subscribers
What a great video! It was so lovely to meet you at the swap. The office plant is a marble queen. Hope they're doing well in the office space. The food you had looked amazing. X
Oh thank you so much! I will make a note of that. They are doing sooo well in the office. They're growing lovely strong roots, and enjoying being in such a bright space. I check up on them as soon as I arrive for my shift. It was so lovely to meet you too! Ooooft I loved all the food I had that day. So incredibly delicious.
Me & my partner stayed on Eastgate for a couple of days mid July, 2nd year we've done it. Lovely wee place, would recommend Sonali Spice & the Black Horse at nearby Atwick. I got a coaster in The Townhouse & my partner got a picture made to order by the lovely lady who's stuff's on display there..
Oh thank you so much for the recommendation. I love the sound of Sonali Spice, as it looks to have some excellent reviews. Oh wow, I love that you ordered a picture there. I didn't know you could do that. I think the shop is so special. I went back again a few days ago and got a few bits and pieces.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback about our little independent shop - we would love to welcome you to one of our plant workshops. Next time you are in Hornsea pop in for a coffee either to Botany Boutique or our artisan marketplace five doors down called 'Number Nine' - we would love to meet you 😃
Yes! I'd love to visit and do a plant workshop. I'll be sure to book myself onto one soon :) awww I am dying to go into number nine to see what you have there too! I'd love to meet you too and have a nice chat. I love that you're so into supporting local businesses. Thank you for showing that local independents really are the best! ❤️
You are such a joy to watch! Yes please do share your views on plants and mental health, sounds intriguing. Also what office job do you have if you don't mind me asking? ❤
Thank you so much, you're very kind :) I work in retail and when I would go up to the office to do admin bits, there were no plants! It looked very bare. Well I've taken some of my new plants across now and it looks much better :D Well I could probably make a veeeery long video on my thoughts about mental health and plants, but just a little introduction to my thoughts (thank you so much for asking by the way), I had a cat, that I loved so much. He was a very affectionate and loving little cat. But he was also a plant nibbler, so I could never have houseplants. He recently had to be put down, and this broke my heart, as my little pal who was like a shadow was gone. But after a few weeks, I thought I would get a plant. And then another. And another, until I learnt that I had found something that I really enjoyed! The reason I mention my cat, is that from what I have heard, often from dark times, people find the joy of looking after and nurturing houseplants. I certainly found this. I love the purpose it gives me to tend to them, and water them, and keep them happy. I love the sense of achievement that it gives me when I see new growth, and even just having them around makes me generally very happy. Looking at them and tending to them gets me in a state of flow. And therefore I think that having plants and caring for them is excellent for mental health, and those times where everything seems so dark, and heavy. I would love to know if you have any thoughts on this at all? :) Thank you so much for your comment!
@@rhi-defined Aww I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty 😟 I have a cocker spaniel who will be turning 13 on the 28th and I completely empathise with how much room they occupy in your heart and the impact of their loss 🤗 Yes I can absolutely see how caring for plants could be very therapeutic for the mind and soul. It's lovely to bring the beauty of nature into our homes isn't it? I have the grand total of 2 plants in my little flat and I dont have my own garden to tend to currently so maybe it's high time I adopted some more plants to nurture and enjoy 😊 Thank you for replying with such a lovely message and for sharing your thoughts. I do love your videos and content! They are proving to be a perfect escape from the harshness of this crazy world and I enjoy sharing in your travels! 💓
Oh gosh, don't they just fill such a huge space in your heart. I still have my little girl cat who has changed completely since my male cat passed away, and I just watch her in awe. They're just so precious aren't they. Part of the family. Oh so therapeutic! I find that after a stressful day, looking at my plant growth and progress takes my mind of everything. Awww I would definitely consider adopting a few more! But it's very easy to get hooked 😅 what plants do you have currently? It sounds like you'd be great at taking care of a little inside jungle 😁 and thank you ever so much. I'm so glad that you enjoy my videos. It makes my day to hear that 😊
@@rhi-defined Well I think you've convinced me that I need more greenery in my life 🌵☘️ 🌹🌺😁 I have no idea what my two plants are! One I picked up from a charity shop. It was a little cutting but has outgrown it's little pot now and needs a new home! I think it had "angel" in its name if I remember correctly. The other is a twisted hard green cactus-like plant from B & M 😆 I know your channel is all about days out/travel etc but if ever you feel called to do a video on all your plants and how you care for them etc I'd love to watch it! Aww does your cat miss her little friend? Would you consider having more? I keep telling myself NO MORE PETS after I lose my dog but I know I'll want more. She has been my little shadow for 13 years now and it will be like losing a limb! She even sleeps in my bed and my whole day revolves around her. I've only had 2 cats but it was very short lived. One was a stray kitten that found her way to my door but disappeared within a matter of weeks. I don't think she was well as she was sneezing a lot poor thing. I also homed a feral cat but as I was out at work all day It was hard to socialise her so I rehomed her and she went to a young couple who worked opposite shifts so there would always be someone with her. I hope your little lady is doing well and doesn't miss her friend too much ❤️
Oh that is so lovely that you got it from the charity shop and have looked after it so well that it's now ready to be re-potted! Oh interesting, I don't know a plant with angel in the title, but it sounds like you've done a really good job with it. Oh, I love twisted cacti. I really want to get into cacti and succulents. It's something I'm going to do a lot more reading up on soon. The plant video idea is a very tempting one. My husband keeps telling me to do one because I am just so enthusiastic about them all, and he thinks it would be lovely to share that with people, and potentially even inspire someone. She did miss my other cat to begin with, but I think she has adapted really well now to being the only cat. I would consider having another cat again if Sky passed away, but I am enjoying just having her for the time being. My husband said he couldn't have any more pets though, too painful to say goodbye. Oh I love that. My cat sleeps next to me too! Little pets are just so special to have aren't they. Awww that's so sweet about rehoming a feral cat to someone who can be there to help them get used to the environment. Animals just need love and time don't they. And they're all so different. I love how much love they make us feel. I'm so sorry to hear that about the little kitten though! Aww thank you for your kind words :)
You're walking sunlight in this video and you actually managed to go to places that weren't shut for a change 🤣 Lovely positive energy feel/vibe to the video, congrats 😃
Thank you! :) Plants really bring me a lot of joy. I think I am so expressive that every emotion I feel shows haha. This is truly my favourite way to spend a day! :D
I really enjoyed this. It's been a few years since I last went to Princes quay, the food all looked so delicious. It's definitely tempted me to get out and try it.
Awww, I'm so glad 😊 it was all very tasty, I could quite fancy going again now 😁 there are so many places that I'm dying to try around hull though, I just need to get my timings right. It would probably help if I didn't keep going on a Sunday 😅 x
Did bands and groups go in gust area? Will we meet any ? looking forward to it this as my friends got me gustlist for this years event ?
