Cutting Down a Tree and Getting My Truck Stuck in Mud
I cut down a tree (chainsaw quick tip included), then my truck got stuck in the mud while I was moving branches (getting your vehicle out of the mud quick tip included.) I left the stump a little larger and plan to cut it off close to the ground so I can keep it as a wood chopping block later, though it is cedar so it might be terrible in that capacity! Enjoy!

    I love this idea but what do you think about attaching the saw table to the bench so that it all can roll around?

    I'm a dart thrower, and I recently became very interested in woodworking because having a dartboard made for me was outrageously expensive, in my opinion. So I'm taking on this goal to build my own, which is very outside of my comfort zone. Can you put together a cut list? Please and thank you

      @anomalywoodworks Рік тому

      Hello! Apologies I just saw your question. I made the table to 30 inch height so the legs were about 29 inches since the top was around an inch. You have a little flexibility here since most table heights are about 29-32 inches. Make it what you want! And thank you for the kind words!

    This is an awesome video. Looks like you are not concerned about wood movement on the tabletop. Is that because the wood is dry/ stable? Not being critical just learning.

    • @anomalywoodworks
      @anomalywoodworks Рік тому

      Do you mean like seasonal movement/shifting? If so, I've never really worried about that for something that's indoors, and I've never had an issue. Others would probably disagree with me. It's been a couple years since I built this now and the table is still fine with no issues. Thanks so much for the kind words!!

    I agree. Love the work so far. And I’d like to see progress and anything you work on. I’m torn between types of buildings myself. Both seem to have their advantages and disadvantages. Having someone put together a metal building goes quick and can me completed in days. IDK the right answer, I’d probably go with the metal bldg for time’s sake and paying someone who knows what they are doing with the right tools to do it.

    • @anomalywoodworks
      @anomalywoodworks Рік тому

      Awesome! Generally, screwing anything into workpieces that are 3/4" thickness you would use the 1 1/4" screw. I use it the most as most things I build frequently use 3/4" boards (1 inch nominal), plywood, etc.

    As a woodworker, I can appreciate your methodology, your exploration of build and process and the finish result from all that work. As a designer, I find the finished stands to be far too skinny looking for the massive size speaker sitting on top. Stands are an aesthetic but also functional aspect of speaker positioning. Should be absolutely rigid to isolate vibration and allow speaker to sound its best. I think the build was a huge success but the actual stands could be much better functionally and aesthetically. No disrespect, just some informed thoughts for your consideration.

    • @anomalywoodworks
      @anomalywoodworks 2 роки тому

      Hi, thanks for that feedback and critique. I do appreciate it and don't take any disrespect. It was my first build of any kind of stands like this so I could definitely do better and if I were to make more I would make them more robust without question. Thanks again!
