Is it true that you can change the color of hydrangeas by adding nails to the soil?
I am not sure about nails but if you change your soil PH using like or gypsum they will change color
@@Giantpumpkinswithericthank you

Hello. Is this from atlantic giant seed? I ask because i bought atlantic giant seed, but mine is nothing like this
Hi yes it is a Atlantic giant seed
Cherry tomatoes 🍅
@@SmartFarms2024 the best!
Question;;;; Can you pollinate a female flower with a male flower from the same plant?? I know at least 2 plants are optimal, but I only have 1 pumpkin plant. It just sprouted up in my flower garden, Just looked so happy I had to let it grow!!
@@dondale68 you sure can. It would just be a self pollination. Nothing wrong with using a male flower from the same plant. This is what I did here.
I save seeds as well. I wait till the casing is brown so i know all the seeds have matured.
Excellent! Good tip!
Nice work! I’m at a large golf ball at this time. I was away last week and hope I didn’t miss the opportunity to pollinate.
Thanks! Plenty of time to get one to set. Keep pollinating
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric 🤞 would love 500lbs but need to beat 287lbs. That’s the only time I’ve weighed.
Hopefully! Keep me updated on how you do!
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric I will post another update sometime soon. Maybe tomorrow.
were those your only 2 female flowers?
I did have one more but it aborted it was about 18 feet out or so
Gracias a Dios todo bien gracias a Dios todo bien gracias a Dios todo bien gracias a Dios todo bien gracias ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂❤❤❤
#2 would be in a better position to take care of and will have way more plant to push it. Once that 1st pollination is cut off #2 will take off.
I am thinking the same thing. How many days should I wait? I guess we need to make sure #2 has taken
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric at least 10-14 days should let you know.
Thanks!
Do the smaller one it has more plant behind it
For sure. Need to make absolutely sure it it set before chopping the other one
You have a big decision. 😊
I was so confused on this shiny green and blue bass this I saw the kayak
I LoL’ed at the title.
Nice! Hope you enjoyed!
Big boy!
We are learning so much. Guess we need to up our game. Miracle Grow just isn’t cutting it. 😂
Fingers crossed for you.
Thank you!
I really like what you are doing with the area you have. Informative video, great for beginner growers. Keep up the good work, good luck and go heavy.
@@giantsquash thank you! Hoping for a personal best this year!
Thank you for the updates. What is the white thing you have next to the pumpkin?
Ice pack. I tried to keep the female blossom cooler when I pollinated. I replaced the ice pack daily for about 3 days. Thank you for watching!
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric ok, it looked like some type of monitor?
Oooo yes. Near the unopened female at the end of the main vine. That is a temperature monitor that goes into the house. Trying to make sure the female does not get up over 80 degrees or so
I grew both of my 1900+ pound pumpkins last year at only 10-12’ from the crown of the plant. Looking good!
Wow! How many square feet did the plant end up at? Both seem a little slow out of the gate but they are swelling and growing. Steady
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric Each plant was just over 1,000 square feet by the end of the season. At pollination, the plants were only about 175 square feet.
@@theturnerranchwi awesome! I will keep you updated!
Dap 24 for the one at 11’ 58” in circumference. She started slow but past 5 days she has been putting 4-4.5 inches in circumference a day
Wow! Our plant has a lot of catching up to do. Looking good Big E!
Thanks 👍
Have you some update from your pumkin?
Hopefully soon!
Curious what state you are in? Check out my page if you are up for tracking my big pumpkin too. Your plant is ahead of mine by the looks of it. Good work!
@JoeDc101 MA I will check out your page for sure! Thanks for watching! Good-luck with your season!

Awesome!

Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching!
I need to do this. I don’t have many blossoms.
Let me know if you have questions!
Treba zalijevati zemlju a me cvijet ❤❤❤❤
Y do u do that ... just curious
You will get bigger tomato’s. You may get a few less tomato’s but they will be bigger. Also,it helps to ensure the plant does not becoming overcrowded with branches and prevent good airflow to help reduce fungus
Treba biljku dobro opljeviti. Mora biti prozračena❤❤❤❤
One tip I found when splitting vertical build a little pad around the bottom with some 2x6s makes the logs not so tippy when splitting
Really good idea. I may need to try this!
Can’t wait for fire season!
It’s the best!
They are so dramatic
Agreed!
I have 4 plants all growing in the same medium pot and they're doing surprisingly well😅
Nice!
Yeah, and now your tomatoes are going to split on the top or sides due to neglectful, inconsistent watering!!!!
Tune in to find out!
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric Will do!
Don't get water on the leaves!!!!!!!
Why
@@Giantpumpkinswithericit promotes fungus and diseases. Just water at the base. And use something to cover the ground. That's where late blight comes from. I just use hay and don't get diseases any more.
@@Giantpumpkinswithericthe water can effectively magnify the sun's rays and damage them. There's also the simple fact that plants take in water through their roots, not their leaves.
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric a lot of plants end up with fungal diseases and rain certainly makes this worse. By not wetting leaves unnecessarily, the risk and the spread are reduced.
The water droplets, which is focused the sun on them if it’s a hot and bright day and damage the leaves
Don't water over the leaves!
Why
@@Giantpumpkinswithericexplained above
Never really had a problem with getting water on the leaves. Especially when i am trying to cool the plant
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric @Giantpumpkinswitheric it can promote fungal infections.
Let me know how this goes, usually when this happens your tomatoes will get bottom end rot but I’m just learning from experience. I’m not sure if some tomatoes aren’t affected by this but mine definitely were, theyre healthy now though
I will keep everyone updated!
Nice splitting!
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback! Glad you enjoyed!
That happened to me today. I hope my plant revives.. We had a rain storm two days ago and I thought my plants didn't need watered . But we are getting a very severe heat wave. Ya I had an oh shit moment.
They will come back. Water really really heavy. It will spring right back up. They are hardy plans.
They put an ice pack and a fan to blow over it at the pumpkin to keep it cool.
Thank you! I’ll need to add a fan or styrofoam cooler for the next one!
Could you explain why. I know you can collect a new plant from the suckers, but is it like garlic, where they grow better?
It helps produce bigger fruit. You may get a few less fruit but the fruit will be bigger
Great content 👌👌👌
Thank you!!! Appreciate the feedback!
We tickle all our flowers! Lol...lots of happy tomatoes! And so sweet! 😉👍♥️
Excellent! Keep on tickling!
😉👍♥️@@Giantpumpkinswitheric
I'm overfeeding... me though. It's me I'm overfeeding.
Is the same with squash?
if you havent yet you should press some of those huge leaves when its done. would make awesome framed art
I will need to look into that for sure! Thanks for the idea!
Does this tip work for squash and cucumbers too? It’s my first year growing them so I want to make sure they are healthy.
For cucumbers and squash focus on plant vigor and color of the leafs. The plant will tell you what it needs. If the leafs are light green hit them with some balanced plant food. If the leafs are crispy and bloated and deep deep green/blue tone back off on the fertilizers.
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric thanks for the tip. I actually went to take a look at my cucumbers and found a fully grown one 😁 It was hidden so I didn’t even realize there was any yet.
@@CassandraHunt-Thomas excellent! Cucumbers love water! Keep it up!
How do you tell if ur over feeding?
Leafs will get very very deep green and bloated looking. The vines will start splitting. The cobra head will reach higher and higher into the sky and make it hard to train it down. Risk snapping the vine
@@Giantpumpkinswitheric ohh ! Thank you so much
No problem! Keep checking back for updates and tips!
