Ninja Gaiden Sigma has unfair difficulty compared to Black unfortunately. I was met with enemies only present on the hard and very hard modes in Black on the normal difficulty in Sigma all on my first playthrough few months ago. Good thing that Sigma 2 is a huge improvement and i enjoyed it tho Razor's Edge has it's own set of issues due to the sketchy history of NG3 vanilla. Imma buy Black soon and give it a whirl as it's on sale right now due to the new release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black last week which is a decent remake using Unreal Engine graphics

I remember buying an og xbox brand new and it didn't even last a Year. Then i got an xbox 360 and it got the red ring of death. Ill never buy another xbox console again.

While I agree these games (aside from 3, but only because never played any version) are deffinitly worth playing, this collection not including Black really is a hugely glaring omission. If you can afford a Series S or X then I highly highly recommend it just for Black, it has hours and hours of peak action game gameplay? Just some of the absolute peak the genre has to offer.

Anyone who says the master collection sucks is being ridiculous. BUT the original 1 and 2 are superior to the sigma versions and that's not debatable.

I've finished NG Sigma 2 and 3 RE a week ago and am in the Chapter 11 of NG 1 Sigma. I like NG Master Collection as much as Nioh 2, Wo Long, Ronin, and Elden Ring. I don't trust critics and streamers.

The gameplay was awfully hard when certain mobs were involved... No manual lock on, you cannot break out of command grabs and the camera keeps working against you ! => Also the visuals blind you to what's going on multiple times !

These type games i feel make you become a better gamer in my opinion 🫡

This game gave me the exact hunger i was looking for when i got demons souls as a kid And im replaying it right now on hard and im just bow realizing i never even beat it on normal and i was infact on easy mode because i didnt know that it can lower the difficulty for you if you mash A to reload Bro i am getting so fucking ridiculously cooked i thought i was good at managing difficult games but like im not coming up w good answers 😭 spent 5 hours on FOUR CHAPTERS enjoy my rant its so fucking fun

I've played all of these games but the PS3 version. I can say that I agree with you, ninja gaiden 3 sucked compared to the rest.

If you’ve ever played Ninja Gaiden Black…you KNOW the master collection is garbage. Real Gaiden fans don’t debate this but if all you have is a PS then it will pass but it is far from the best way to experience the game. Weaker enemies and less of them on the screen from a system that is multiple times more powerful than the OG XBOX…yeah hard pass for me.

Hearing repition not in ninja gaiden is insulting especially for 2004 sigma and black since the overworlds checkpoints are scattered and you can end up fighting the exact same enemies if you die and have no idea where to go to begin with 😂😂😂😂

Honestly, I couldnt play through sigma as soon as I got to that iconic cut scene, only to be shown a hollow version of the original. The brutality, the tension, the urgency from Ryu, and the music! Everything about each pre rendered cut scene in this game is inspiring. Im glad someone else appreciates it and shares!

I love the flat look of the originals. You're right, so much love and attention went into the pre rendered cutscenes. A league of their own when it comes to tone, atmosphere and direction. I like NInja Gaiden 2 but it lacked heart. But where it lacked it made up in combat.. This game will always be legendary.

What a shame. This game could've been the best one 😮‍💨
