3 point seat belt install in a 1965 F-100 hot rod ratrod #Noreen - quick overview!
I have a lowered mustang and I have about 4" of clearance to the rockers. What is the height of the unit fully down without the blocks? Vevor gives a dimension of 6.5" But that is with the rubber blocks. I am looking for the height of the unit itself. Thanks!
4” exact is the lift all the way compressed without the blocks
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat Awesome Thanks!
What !!! did I saw a RED TOOL... Unacceptable ..... Thank you for the video and your hard work..but you will be banish from th.............
lol thanks!
Hi, I just wanted to give you a HUGE shout out for this great video. There seem to be only Sienna videos on UA-cam - not the same rear suspension. The squeaking has been progressive in my car for almost a year. I tried isolate and rule out EVERYTHING possible. It has been driving me TOTALLY NUTS. If you have a longer video, I'd appreciate the link - things like what other parts did you have to loosen, support etc. Again than you very much for this. I have a hoist so this should help. Steph
Thanks for sharing!! Unfortunately only video I have but basic hand tools and a jack were used to get the job done
@Cut.Weld.Repeat did you have to support the tire and wheel? Ill be on a hoist.
@Cut.Weld.Repeat Toyota validated that this repair, for them included new arm assemblies. $1500 + job instead of $160 in bushings.
What year Prius steering did you use
2004-2009 Prius. Several other cars/models out there but I found this to be the best one to utilize in my build.
@Cut.Weld.Repeat thank you for the response. Very few people actually reply to their viewers🤙 you just gained another Subscriber ✌️
Thank you! Yes I try to respond quickly to help others. Good luck with the build
Love the car 🫡
Thank you! Took awhile to get it to this point. Bigger things to come down the road. Appreciate it!
Will it fit under a vette?
You would have to measure your Vette distance to floor and lookup specs on this
Where does that small roll pin at 1:03 go? Trying to reassemble mine after sealing up my tank and I'm not finding where it needs to go
I would guess it’s the pin for the trigger to activate the saw. It’s been over a year so I can’t fully recall. However I purposely separated the top screws for the handle only. So that’s my guess
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat Thanks, but I ended up finding out where it went - it's at the end of the metal spring strap that goes around the sprocket. That thing is easy to fly off during disassembly!
How did you push the bushings in? Any tool or press you recommend thanks. I have the same issue on a 2010 rx350.
Put it in freezer bag for 30-60 mins while doing disassembly. Then I took out, greased it and pressed in with my hands. No special tools
I was just going to ask the same question!
Also supposed to run ORB fittings into the regulator never ran into this issue before.
This regulator only takes NPT. I called Aeromotive he mentioned that to me as well until I confirmed the part number for this particular unit. Lesson learned to buy the newer model in the future. Appreciate the comment! Thanks!!
Flaw in Aeromotive regulator like most of theirs do
I just spoke with their Tech Support and they said it’s a known problem! Wow! Why don’t they put that note in the instructions?! 🤦♂️
@@Cut.Weld.Repeatit's been known forever too, junk company.
@@Jeromeebappreciate the insight. What alternate brand do you recommend from personal experience??
How about the lift worht the ,$$$ thinking about purchasing
It’s worth the money if you have a similar set up like mine and you’re using it to do basic maintenance underneath. If you have the space and money, I would definitely get a two post lift. Always better because you can lift higher up and it’s easier to maneuver around under the vehicle. I’m still happy with my purchase, but I just wanna give you another option.
So you bought Chinese Junk. Well it‘s your life and safety. Vevor is a front end for sub-standard Chinese crap. In Germany, they have the attention of the authorities because the company that receives the payment of European customers, goes by the name of „Asian Weddings GmbH“, one month, some other name the next month, etc. etc. Vevor keeps creating these fake companies to process payments. Customer service is non existent. Nobody picks up the phone or answers your emails.
Ok thanks for the info ✌️
On the initial motor, Did you beat the sleeve off that holds the tilt or did you have to cut it?
If I remember correctly I think I carefully cut it and then beat it off. Honestly I cut so much of the ends off I can’t recall now. It does come off. I think cutting it was easier if memory serves me right
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat I’m trying to stuff one into a 280z and it’s not going well. Hopefully this works.
@@chrishardy6471 I looked back.. between 5-6min mark.. I noted that i cut it off. The larger tube has space you can carefully cut it away exposing the main splined gear. In the end I cut that off as well and made a double D out of it to hook up to a universal joint and to my steering column. Good luck with it! Will be really cool. I was driving the F100 today and love the power steering upgrade. Totally worth it!
I am working on the same project , Do I need any fuse in black ignition wire ? And can I get 12v directly from the battery ? What size fuse amp and wire rating ?
Yes to be safe always use a fuse! I used a 14-16gauge wire with a 10amp fuse I believe for my switched ignition wire. For the main positive supply to the unit I used 8awg wire and a 50amp fuse. Wired right to the battery.
Nice build man don't give up ever on any old build or life and fck what others think ! Hot rod lifestyle
Completely agree! Thank you brotha! ✌️
Wow bro I'm proud of you❤
Thank you!
My mom's friend monk had the same truck good old Ford big dent in the driver door❤
These are great trucks. Built Ford tough
Just use enough oil to have a tiny bit leftover when done. Then store on the side. Mine doesn’t leak if I do it that way. If I store it half or more full , then it does leak. All chainsaws eventually leak bar oil. Just empty them after use. And store on an old rag with a pan underneath. Not an issue. This little dewalt saw is great
Thanks, good idea! Agree it’s a great saw otherwise
Have u put anything real weight with close to 7k on it?
My F100 is 4K lbs. my F150 is 6K lbs so that’s the max. Held it fine for the work I was doing. My F100 has been up on the lift for over a week now, no issues. No drop in pressure etc. has been super helpful to have in my garage
So is there a center on these?? Being electric.
Not that I’m aware of. I even pulled it apart to look at the internal gears. It seems it could turn 360. My trucks steering is the binding point.
@Cut.Weld.Repeat awesome! Just got mine have not had a chance to hook it up yet to see.
@@lukecullett9044 good luck with it!!
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat you already did the work! I just need to follow!
Thanks for this!!!
No problem!!
Just came across your video and think it’s great. It would be way rad if one could find a way to hide the EPS inside the firewall for a super clean install. Great job on the video and the rad f100!
Thanks! It’s so bulky. I’ve debated painting it all black so it blends in more. Currently installed not too bad under the brake booster. I think it’s better then inside the cab for sure
Could you do a how to or walkthrough video explaining the process of doing this
Look back in my full length videos. There is one
I’m ready to do this am a little nervous I won’t be able to get the new bushing in. Was it easy to slide in? It has a small lip which makes me nervous it’s difficult to slide in without a press.
Yes I did it by hand. Before you start the job put the bushing in a ziplock bag, into your freezer. This helps it slightly shrink. I also put grease on it before inserting and it went in, no press needed
Thank you so much. Going to do it today!
@@user-wq5ws1qs7x you’re welcome
I got the dewalt 12 inch 20v for Father’s Day. Mine does not put any oil on the bar whatsoever. And it just leaks oil out of the bottom when in storage. I don’t use it very often. So I just run it knowing it doesn’t oil the bar. Very disappointed in dewalt.
ordered mying waiting for delivery, what hydrolic fluid does it recommend ? i want to purchase it a head of time so i can set it up right away. Thanks
I believe it’s this one a.co/d/1toRoIt
ISO 46 oil
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat thanks brother, 1 gal enough? was the bleeding process difficult ? did you have uneven lift at any point?
@@dcswings yes it was enough. I just poured it in. No need to bleed.
What do you think of the Wen bandsaw?
I like it! I’ve used it a ton on my rear suspension build (check my videos and shorts). Really good machine. I’ve already cut so much had to replace the blades 2x. Very happy with the purchase
@@Cut.Weld.RepeatAwesome! I’m getting into some aluminum welding and fabrication and think I’ll jump on this same setup!
@ seriously a game changer. Much cleaner cuts. I’ve used it to rebuild the whole rear of my F100. Really like this tool
@ I was using an abrasive chop saw and I swear, I’m spending more time cleaning up the cuts than anything! Looking forward to this!
@ same for me. Sold the abrasive saw and never looked back. Only use this portable band saw with stand now for all my cuts. Super clean, fast cuts.
How did you get the board to fit behind the bezel? I can’t get mine to fit. They only sent 2 spacers when the kit needs 4.
Check out my videos.. rewire hotrod for $50. Somewhere around 3 min mark in the video I show the circuit board mounted up. I think I made my own spacers and used #8 or #10 metric Phillips screws and nuts to fasten it all together. ua-cam.com/video/HO-QQl6Z-Ng/v-deo.htmlsi=MGndKXI_eLVfcNjJ
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat Thank you for the reply. I'm headed to the store to get nylon spacers and long enough 5/16 hardware.
Hi. Do u need to bleed air out, or is it self bleeding.? Did u use s synthetic oil. Or hydraulic 46.? Thx.
Self bleeding no issues. I used the hydraulic oil recommended in the manual. Had to order off Amazon, not something in my local stores.
Thx. Company did give 2 options 2 bleed. Also went with a synthetic equivalent. Longer life spand. Better temps tolerable. For same price.!
May have been a bit more useful in giving out more detail on the settings used to complete a decent weld. How fast of wire speed was set for this setup. How high was your amps set at. These educational tutorial are most beneficial when being able to compare apples to apples and not just left in the dark. JFYI Thnxz either way just gives me another reason to search for someone else's tutorial on completing their project. thanks either.
I followed the manufacturers recommendations printed on the inside of the lid, of the welder. Thanks
Did mine (DCCS670) yesterday. Took photos taking it apart and all went well with reassembly. The star bolts have slots for a GOOD flathead screwdriver. Too bad they made us fix their problem, but I liked seeing the innards of my PLASTIC chainsaw LOL. As others have noted I believe it is from where the tank fill hole assembly marries the saw body. I applied gasket sealer there and around the pump tube stopper. The cap is NOT the problem. A small amount still drips from the port next to the bar - but so does my Stihl. So far pretty impressed with what I've been able to cut with this and the lack of fire risk and noise is a plus. I won't get rid of my gas saws for bigger jobs though.
Agreed! Great comments thank you
What was vent temperature prior to cleaning the evaporator coils?
I didn’t record it, but it was definitely a bit warmer vs after cleaning it was a big difference.
Thanks for the reply
What are you doing, step drill bit
I came here for this. Thank you!
Thanks
But you said you only had 1/2” drill bit this is bigger then that
The point being this is the alternative
If you want to keep it for a long time. Reduce the drilling rpm.
Agree completely. Was torture testing it
That is not made out of cobalt, but cobalt plated
Thanks
Wonder why it's cobalt
🤷🏼♂️
Gotta lube that hole 😂😂😂
Didn't fit all the way though......did it!
Not pictured in the video but it did.
Good quick review, i have had mine for about 3 months and so far so good, the quality is great. I use mine for my 2017 Suburban and it picks it up no problem. I hope you bought a truss for when you want to put the units on the wall to hang, man these are heavy and that's without the extensions which i have not had to use. One tip, if you do hang them, put a tie down strap around them first as they will start to unfold when they are vertical.
Great advice! Haven’t had to hang/store them yet but that day is coming. Thanks for the heads up!
Got a gm steering column in an f100?
Yes I do
@@Cut.Weld.Repeat interesting. That's a good way to get a tilt column in I'm gonna look into that 🫡
@@danthisguy8541 thanks. Universal tilt GM column on eBay are cheap. Even if using stock manual steering on F100, use a universe joint adaptor and it goes in. Minor wiring to match up but it works well
@@danthisguy8541 thank you! Cheapest way I figured. Was a fun project. Easy for me to replicate for future builds now
Can anyone show me the magic between 55 seconds and the one minute mark? I can not figure out the process for the handle removal. Also, than you for the tip I read in here that the 10mm bolt is left handed thread. I just lightly held onto the gear with a set of pliers and the bolt came right out. I would have 100% tightened it to the point I broke it had I not read that.
Hi Randy, once you remove all the screws (check both sides) the whole unit splits apart in half, with a screw driver or pry bar. The safety handle bar is also held in place with a few screws. I think 1-2 were really deep so you need a long screwdriver to access. Once those are removed the safety handle comes right out. Good luck with it
I was able to get a pocket screwdriver into one side of the clip in each socket after cutting the top plastic off. Cut my finger trying to pull them off with pliers.
Yikes!
Yea.. don't launch this like you have it. Those lower hangers are less than ideal. Really nice paint tho. Cool truck
Thanks 👍
I would strongly recommend strengthening where your lowers meet the frame if you plan on driving that. The lowers are going to be pushed forward with a huge force...
Good point, will do. Thanks!
93 degrees 😂
lol I know I know. Felt like a 100 but I know Texas and other western states have it worse
My brother I have only seen this video but I’m boutta doom scroll you’ve gained a sub amazing work
Thank you! Much appreciated!!
This is the content we need homie. Im subbed!
Thank you!!
Did you happen to have any problems with either side not going up at the same time?
I do not but I read in the manual this can happen due to air in the line. Check the manual for the procedure to correct this issue. Mine has worked great so far
I have. Spoke with their cs many times. Did everything they suggested but still have the issue
@@Shl179 that’s really weird. Check hose connections, check fluid. Perhaps an internal issue/blockage of some kind in the fluid tank?
Just bought a DeWalt 8 inch battery 20V chain saw. After cutting about 40 pieces of prune/wood, it worked great. I placed the saw down to use the next day. Noticed next day it was leaking oil. WTF - it was new! Such a great saw to have this problem. It's not leaking from the cap, so appears to be leaking from within. I can try to fix it or return it.... Since it's new, will try to return it. Great video - If I have any problems returning it, I am going to follow this video.
Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately they haven’t changed / addressed the issue with newer saws. Such a shame
My little pruning 6" saw does same thing. After 2 or 3 uses started leaking. Trying to figure out how to fix it. I guess it's a common problem, getting a replacement unit wouldn't matter. It would leak too.
