Anyone know anything about the Coleman Oil furnace that come with these?
How did you solve the "Check pitch trim" problem Jason?
It turned out to be a bad pitch servo which is what our initial troubleshooting identified. However, this video was taken after the refurbished pitch servo was received and installed. Since it did not correct the problem, we ran down a whole gamit of other solutions, none of which solved the issue. Finally we returned to suspecting the newly installed, refurbished pitch servo which turned out to be a bad unit. Problems with the KAP140 autopilot system tend to be failed servos more often then not based on my experience and research in fixing this one.
Terrific travel trailer! Are trailer shoppers planning to build a shelter before purchasing a trailer? If not, you should! There used to be 3,000+ different trailer manufacturers in America, but only about 25 different manufactured trailers survived in less than 100 years! WHY? The reason is simple: Humidity and the contraction and expansion of opposite temperatures destroy many categories of man-made and natural earth products. The best approach to minimize "aging of products" is to keep the trailer inside a shelter (e.g., barn, garage when not in use) that is temperature-controlled for all climate seasons throughout America. America is a continent of extreme climate changes: cold, heat, humidity, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and freezing. So, plan ahead of buying a trailer by building a climate-controlled shelter for the trailer and the truck that tows the trailer. The BONUS of sheltering a travel trailer is the health of the trailer products. If / when you want / need to sell your sheltered trailer, it will be worth more money well-preserved than if the trailer were left outdoors to accelerate its “aging of products” as exemplified by the bone-yard trailers (and buried trailers) made by 3,000+ manufacturers during the past 100 years! Just saying....
Well said, I couldn't agree more!
I. Lived in a 42’ for five yrs in college and after being married great rugged coach
Then you know how to live in a trailer better than most people; and you can start your own UA-cam channel advising folks "What to do" and "What not to do" ! :-)
What year is it?
1955 if I recall correctly. Wish I hadn't sold it🥺
Very beautiful old trailer
Love it!!
That camper is called a, keeper.that means you will never sell it ,lol.
I wish you had given me that advice before I sold it 2 years ago☹️.
The Hot water Heater to replace is about 800 in 2023. Plus, May have to remove toilet to replace heater. I would buy this .
Sure is a tiny little hot water heater, but yes your probably right about having to remove toilet. Sure wouldn't be a very long hot shower! I believe there is an option for external hot water heater, probably not original plumbing, as it looked like someone taped into the hot water supply.
Yes I would have it rewired. I be afraid the modern electrics would over load system.
In general, modern electronics / electrical devices are far more efficient than they were 60 or 70 years ago. However, we do rely on many more electronics than we used to, which may offset the electrical efficiency. One would have to weigh the invasive nature of a re-wiring vs. preserving the original character of the mobile. If the overall interior were updated, as many choose to do with these vintage mobiles, re-wiring would be a no brainer. Thanks for your comment!
Great Spartan; love the clock and chrome decoration on the original stove! I hope you find the right person who will have the wherewithal to bring her back to her original splendor.
We sold it several years ago and it now resides on Orcas Island. Hopefully it has found its forever home and will be lovingly cared for there!
Nice Job Jason. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Jason.
Thank you. Great job.
Congratulate bro !
Hi are you in Washington still, would you consider selling the spartan?
