To me this was one of the very few perfect movies ever made. The chef kiss are definitely the dialogues and quotes.

Someone answer me this. How did the same man who made Batman Begins and the undeniable masterpiece that is TDK. Drop the ball so hard on the third one? There is so much wrong with that film, from the Thalia Al'ghoul reveal, the way Marion Cotillard and Matthew Modine's characters die. The awful shoe-horning of Gordon-Levitt as Robin. The tacked on 'occupy wall street' parallels, Bane's muffled voice, the impossibility of Batman learning to walk, run and fight on not one, but two occasions. How he gets back into Gotham at the end, why every police officer in the city goes into the tunnel, etc. These aren't even nitpicks. These are mistakes a legendary Filmmaker should never be making. Which is the reason why I consider this franchise to be a duology, I don't count the third one. Just like Godfather Part 3 and Spiderman 3.

This ending still gives me chills. It is the greatest Action film of the 21st century, and possibly ever. The only action films truly transcendently better than this film are maybe like Die Hard, T2, or Aliens. That last scene is the embodiment of who Batman is or ever will be. “A silent guardian, a watch protector, a Dark Knight.” Anyone who says it’s a good movie but not a good Batman movie is a complete chode who dreams of licking their dads nutsack.

Why my eyes are wetting

I paid for a 1st show ticket 🎫 and left the theater after the last screening on Friday night and Saturday night and Sunday night then I spent my money 🤑 on the album listening 🎧 to Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard score it brings tears to my eyes 😭 it's so beautiful

I’m sorry. This movie was corny and not at all as good as people make it out to be. The most egregious of it was Dent not realizing it was Joker til he took off the mask in the hospital and only then does he flip out. So many other things tho..

I remember my wife saying, "I don't care about Batman like you do. But I looked over and saw you enthralled. I could tell I didn't have to know ANYTHING about what was going on to know that this movie was something special. Also I came to see Heath Ledger and I'm still not convinced that was him as Joker.".

I saw this when I was 18. I'm double that age now. The chills and goosebumps are EXACTLY the same.

I’ve seen this movie 6 times at the theatres with different friends each time. Every time I went in there I was sure that I’ll be as awe inspired as the first time, even though I knew every scene by heart! But the best part was the look on my friends’ faces! Oh it was priceless! Thank you Nolan Sir.

The only thing that does NOT age well, is Batman’s voice. It kinda takes me out of the seriousness of the situation. If I were talking to this version of Batman, there’s no way I wouldn’t make fun of his voice. Even if he beat me into the concrete. I’d still be laughing at him. “Swear to meeeeeee!!” 😂 Great movies tho

This is the only franchise I know of where the second movie wasn't a disappointment. Or the third.

Dude, 14 years... And still hits me

I remember going to the midnight showing with my friends. None of us realized we'd get out of the theater at 3am...then getting up at 6am to go to work the following day. Well worth losing sleep it's one of the best movies of all time. Without a doubt my last time going to a theater at midnight.

Gosh why are the comments so negative about the audience reaction? Id much rather watch this film on a big screen with an enthusiastic audience as opposed to stream it on a laptop alone in my bedroom. Maybe this is a sign theatres ( and the communal audience theatre experience appears to be diminishing)

I saw this movie in the theaters 3 times, each with different company. The second and third time was just as engrossing as the first one. Watching The Dark Knight is like watching a trilogy in one movie, it just keeps snowballing into this massive and beautiful chaos. I love it.
