Because Notion is a VC backed company with millions of dollars while Notion2Sheets is a single person company with no outside investment.

@@LeanZubrezki this is a function and should be a feature bundled with the app and the fact that it isnt only leaves scum bag SAAS models thinking they are entitled to a monthly service fee. Paying a monthly fee for a function is zzzzz and doing it as a casual personal user is moronic. The SAS model is waaaaay overplayed.

@@brettalanlistens3035 I think is pretty simple, if you don't find value in the add-on you just don't pay for it and that's it. Notion will focus on syncing data TO the platform but not OUT of the platform.

Yes by default the Page ID column has the link to the record in Notion! Unfortunately the add-on only works with properties of the page and not the content.

No there isn't a free plan anymore. You can probably use Zapier or Make depending on your use case but setting them up is complicated.

By default the sync is Notion to Sheets, but you have the synced columns feature to enable edit on existing pages. Basically you make a specific column Sheets to Notion enabling the usage of formulas and more and the rest remain Notion2Sheets. For delete unfortunately no, if you delete the page in Notion or in Sheets you will have to also delete it in the other.

@@theaccountantguy well you can do Sheets to Notion now with the feature presented on the video and with synced columns. The only thing that won't work is the deletion of pages and that won't change in the near future :(

Thanks John! At the moment date properties are not supported but it is in the roadmap :). One option in the meantime is to use a regular text property and format your date as text directly.

Data flows both from Notion to Sheets and from Sheets to Notion but it is not 2 ways for the same column, always one source of truth. There are options for a 2 way sync but they keep a copy of all your data in their servers and are pretty expensive as they charge based on the number of rows.

Unfortunately it is not possible to scope down to a single spreadsheet, but even though the add-on could potentially access other spreadsheets it only uses the one you have opened while doing the sync and then it just connects to that one and has no idea about any others.

Yes, when you sync your Notion database both formulas and rollup properties will appear as a column in Sheets. You can then create the chart and embed it back to Notion. Check this blog post for an example: notion2sheets.com/blog/notion-portfolio/

The sync is only from Sheets to Notion, one way only.

Hi António! You can pass data from Google Sheets to a Notion database, but not entire records, just specific columns. Let's say you have a list stocks in Notion and you want to have up to date price for them. Then you can sync the database, and use the synced columns feature to make a single column, Price, to be Sheets to Notion, enabling the usage of Sheets formulas but just for that column, and one way only. No no, values are automatically updated in Notion, the interval will depend on your plan, slowest at once every 6 hours and quicker every 15 minutes.

Hi Victor! Yes you can do that with synced columns. You can make a specific column to be Sheets to Notion and doing that Notion will be updated with the values from Sheets. You can use formulas for example for calculations!

Hi! You need to first enable automatic updates. Once you have your first database in sync the option will appear. After enabling it the rest of the features will be available :)

You can use a mix between recurring tasks and synced columns to achieve it. When your page gets created in Notion, it will then be added to Google Sheets as well. Then you can have a synced column with a sheets formula to calculate the number that you want!

Glad you like it! Once you create the synced columns Notion2Sheets goes and updates Notion with the values, the time it takes to run depends on the number of pages in the databases. Hi Park! We just released yesterday a full step by step video here: ua-cam.com/video/BPCDGCLs1bE/v-deo.html. In your case the problem is that your database is lacking Created time and Last edited time properties, go and add the two in Notion and you will be able to start the sync.

Hi Toms!, this is because we need offline access to the spreadsheet to update Notion values while you don't have the app opened. With the permission "the specific Google Drive files you use with this app" we can only access the spreadsheet while Notion2Sheets is opened. We would love to reduce the permissions but unfortunately it is not possible :(
