I would like to add something that might not be obvious to some folks.. As good as meditation might be for some people (basically peace and quiet to think) its not great for everyone.. Mainly I want to say that people with depression when left to their own thoughts for too long is not great as your mind can start to worry about things in the future that haven't even happened and the worry spirals out of control making you think bad thoughts.. so for those who actually suffer from this be careful not to spend too much time in your own thought keep busy and try to get decent sleep .. (Not the kind sleep where it takes you so long to drift off you start to overthink things again). On the flip side having peace and quiet can be great for those who lead very tiring busy lifestyles (those with large families lots of kids a nagging wife etc) providing they arent suffering from depression..
