Coming back to this and watching it with you, it just hit me. In all of the scenes of each of these stories, silence makes it worse. Violet's mom stays silent, so Violet is assaulted by her own father. Violet stays silent while she's being beaten by her boyfriend resulting in her own death. Jenny stays silent and is murdered by her own brother. Those who Screech thought he could depend on didn't really answer him, and that philosophical silence pushed him into a psychotic break that pushed him into the base instincts of an animal, resulting in his own death. The single brightness comes when Violet breaks her own silence so her babies will be saved, only the entire thing comes back around full circle to her children's own violent ends .

The juxtaposition of you starting your break down of the song, while in the background the cat was doing cat stuff(including biting the mic stand) was fantastic

Lol, I've probably watched 100 reacts to this video because that's what I love about this music. I've watched yours at least 4 times but never seen the last 1/3 of it. Not much on commentary but didn't realize you were adding to it. I saw a videographer react, 3 vocal coaches, another opera singer, a rapper, a songwriter etc., and everyone opened my eyes to another facet of what makes this so magical. One thing about this song that someone pointed out was at one point in the song they're in harmony (not sure the correct terms), balancing each other going in opposite directions, then they switch to both in the same direction and it's so seamless. I think that's what makes them switch from sad and hopeless to hopeful and empowered. Not sure if you caught that too, but your last 1/3 addition to it seems like you did. You added to the parts they left out and stopped at the parts they got it all. This may not make a lot of sense to everyone, lol. Hopefully you get what I'm saying. Love it, keep doing what you're doing. You seem to get the same things I do from all this. <3

New here and to REN. I’m now just unpacking what REN is saying. I had to go to the comments to get some perspective. I got so much more. As a GenXer I’ve seen so much as music evolving into so much more than just MUSIC. The songs I listened to as a young person I now literally look up the words, and oh my goodness. I look up the words to the music my daughters listened too, disgusting. I attribute this awakening to access to the internet. Hi REN, has told my inner child story, and so much more in music that I’d not normally pay attention to. Thank you internet for opening the world of truth to us all.

Its funny this is the only video of a reactor especially a singer voice coach anyone related to music especially opera though who didn't know the voice at the end during the credits out right let alone once they saw in the credits that floor Jansen was the voice during the credits. My point is it seemed everyone know & can tell Floor's voice let alone once they read the name in credits & say oh yeah that seemed familiar.
