Why Nobody Lives On The Marshall islands Anymore - Everybody moved to USA
The Marshall Islands are losing their population due to economic challenges, nuclear contamination, and the worsening effects of climate change. Though famous for their historic seafaring culture, the islands face unsustainable living conditions, including limited job opportunities and saltwater intrusion into freshwater supplies. Many Marshallese are migrating to the U.S., particularly Arkansas, under a unique agreement allowing visa-free relocation. While some work to preserve their culture abroad, others innovate solutions to protect their homeland. Their story reflects the broader challenges of climate resilience and cultural survival.

People do live there.
The scenery is divine! The people are great! Only been a couple of times but it haunts you. A bit like an 'out of the body' experience. It's stunningly beautiful.

Tosh? I like Peter Tosh.
First, good job pronouncing 'Schenectady;' it's not easy. Second, pointing out the Erie Canal is good, but the railroads had a much more pronounced impact on us. The New York Central, the D&H (oldest track still in use in the US) and others were the reason so many villages and cities incorporated in New York, and manufacturing sprouted around these hubs. I think losing that had a ripple effect on other sectors as well.
I thought it was one the most spectacular places I ever seen I could easily live there
Lots of inconvenient truths unmentioned here. Religion and racism poisons everything there- that’s the problem. God does not exist. When people use the magic word “sacred” they are liars using religion to cover up what is actually racism. They say “Respect my culture! ‘ BS, the locals have trashed everything there, they dump burned out cars and old appliances everywhere and commit numerous crimes, not the tourists - the life blood of the Hawaiian economy. Years of prohibiting development based on a fairy tale has slammed into reality after the Maui fire. ‘My water is sacred so I won’t open the valve to fight the fire, my land is sacred so you cannot build new housing, oh now our homes are gone, let’s see…I know! Iets take homes belonging to others who are a different racial background. Bad rich Haoles have vacation rental I could live in, give it to me ! No more vacation rentals allowed- magic now we have housing, bring tourist dollars but don’t drive on roads, don’t park at the beach and stay in an overpriced hotel room with no kitchen so you have to eat all meals in restaurants. Nice! Aloha! Now go home! That’s Hawaii!
AYE, impossible tae live in the Highlands. Wae midges almost the size o dugs. Rain almost 364 days. Off tae grab a coffee in ma wee converted bus. Can't make my mind up a swim or simply dream. AYE. , don't come up. And it's getting worse.
Rewild the people!
What a load of nonsense. Where do people come up with this. Clueless. People move here for the outstanding quality of life.
Hawaii is incredible! It doesn't need any more development.
