I was about to throw all my HART brand in the trash. Tried this with a car battery charger. The 12v charger goes up to 50amps so I had to make sure I hit the switch that dropped it down to 2amps first. Tried 30 seconds. Didn't work. Another 30 seconds. Didn't work. Another 30 seconds and what do ya know. The Hart charger green light came on immediately. Craaaazy! Hart brand I hope you're paying attention. Please fix this.

I tried that with two 40 volt batteries, one good and one bad, it didn't work, I haven't tried that with a 12 volt battery charger

Wow very cool!! Glad I found this video before buying a new battery! Got this work with two razor blades and a 9 V battery. Connected it for just a few seconds and that was enough to fix the problem 😄

What voltage and amperage is the battery charger for the laptop you used? No one seemed to mention that and thanks to this retarded video I fuckimg EXPLODED my battery after about a minute and 30 seconds it fried. So what did I do wrong. I used the same style fuckimg one in the video. 1.5amp hart battery.

Used 2 razors and a battery jumper. Worked like a charm. Thank you for saving me ANOTHER trip to Wal-Mart!

I had the same issue, just heating it up can work too. I put a hairdryer on it for 7 mins and it started charging again!

Does it have to be a charger that you choose lithium or lead? Or will a basic car battery charger/maintainer from harbor freight work?

I actually used a hair dryer and it works. The other battery i left outside in Arizona heat for 7 minutes then it took a charge as well.

Just wanted to drop a thank you here. Purchased a Hart 20V sprayer almost a year ago and only opened it up yesterday... like many the battery did not charge ... just flashing the red led. Knowing I was likely out of warranty I was about to just order a new battery when I came across this video. Used my Battery Tender, made a couple of leads and used that to charge for not even 5 minutes. Then plugged it into the HART charger and sure enough.... red led shifted to green and it seems to be charging now!
