GTA Online in 2024...why do you still play?
A bit of a different video here. This is a lot less edited than previous content I've uploaded, but just a quick one on the state of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online. I only play when businesses go on double money. Honestly? Just because I want to. I have enough GTA$ and doesn't feel like there is much else to do. I don't think I've completed a Cayo Perico heist in nearly 2 years even lol.
I think free abilities might be for red dead online, there’s ability cards you can buy

Dr. Mario should be a alternate skin for Mario and Young Link and Pichu NEVER should be playable in Smash!
Dr. Mario as an alt skin, I agree. And yes, Pichu and Young Link were never necessary. Still aren't.
Because they have nothing better to do in life most people I know that still play are in their mid 30s 😮

I like to steal cars and stuff mostly, but also I like doing different sell mission things. I try to do the acid lab deliveries every day.
Gta online is very immersive the radio and driving has me hooked I jus play the clickin bell raid and spin the wheel at the casino

@@coffeeDNAx It's a reference to a Mario 64 Horror Game of the same name. Basically Mario knowing he's in a game, that things will never change in his life, and that his life is a lie.

I've been playing since day 1. Now i don't really play much. I got tired of r* making the missions much harder and needlessly longer. I glitched tons of money after buying shark cards and getting reset. What held me over for awhile, is PVP in free roam. But now nobody genuinely fights. Nobody dogfights, and it usually feels like I'm in a lobby full of bots.
@@sergeantspeed5941 Those early days when the most OP vehicles were the tanks and buzzard choppers in free roam PvP >>> It was chaos! I agree, though, Rockstar making missions longer is tedious and can make them more of a chore. I don't really have an issue with them making them harder, as long as the cash reward is there and well balanced with the time/effort you put in.
I played GTA Online from 2013 to around 2018/2019. I was there for the Beach Bum update! I loved the simple, wild west feeling of the early days and couldn't get enough of it it. I am not much of an online gamer but I loved it. They started adding more and more expansions to it and I thought that was great. I made a solid crew of friends in the game, I put in like 2000 hours into it roughly. The tipping point for me was when they started adding in stupid stuff like the Oppressors and flying Deloreans. At that point they jumped the shark. Every lobby was just full of Oppressors flying around and blowing stuff up. It got too silly and the cost of everything in game was absurd. Shame Rockstar had to ruin a good thing but hey ho, there's more to life than videogames.
@@MorgueOfficialMusic GTA Online definitely has gotten wackier over the years. Even with the introduction of the Oppressors and flying Deloreans, I think the game is still good, but can understand the lack of desire to want to play. Those vehicles are very OP and 100% changed the landscape of the game.
i still play gta online because i finally got a pc that can run it (its not special i get about 27 fps most of the time) and yes i grind money but i like the game still, very much
@@michaelgrimes9942 I still play on console and yeah I like the grind aspect of it. Just seeing my money go up in game is enough to keep me coming back to it. Grinding money, while listening to a podcast 👌
@@michaelgrimes9942 The game only felt playable to me after the 60fps upgrade came out for ps5. Ps4 slim was running it too choppy with all the content they cramped into it.

I try to play gta online. I really try. It’s not even bad because of all the oppressors and constant death. It’s literally just not the same game that I used to spend hundreds of hours on. I hope gta 6 brings back the actual gta online experience. Not some pay to win bull.
honestly its not about oppressors anymore, they got nerfed sooo badly, their rockets are the worst in the game. and even tho real money transactions exist, it doesnt take ur skill away, you still can manage a good gameplay while being a hundred levels below someone
The reason it feels creepy now is because we're so used to seeing these Lively worlds with this new hardware that the old games with Hardware limitations feel almost dead and therefore eerie

The probably got rid of all the shitty clones because they wouldn’t fit in subspace. Oh who’s that off in the distance? The fourth character in a row who is just a guy holding a sword? Although mewtwo could’ve worked
Before you leave a comment saying it's due to the limitations of the Nintendo 64, just know...I am aware of this! I'm more so talking about the feel of the game due to those limitations and not in a bad way. It's quite the contrary.

I will say my mic quality is not the greatest. It may be the mic, it may be the settings. In the future, though, I am looking to upgrade.

@@killermoviemakers Yes! Partially due to nostalgia, cus Brawl was my first smash game, BUUUUT, it's also cus I think Melee is just a LIL too fast for me, personally. Neither game is bad, just, I'm more used to Brawl
This game didnt deliver at all for me. It looked beautiful, but the combat was rodiculous - just press one button three times. The gameplay was extremely linear to the ooint where there was no real "adventure" happening
@@jacksom-x4j Valid points. I still find some enjoyment out of the game despite its flaws. Perhaps because it has bits of that Rareware charm from the 90s.

Ultimate has a story as well, not too sure if any other ones had a story

I've ride with Arthur and i died with Arthur. But Arthur died on top of a mountain and Dutch at the bottom of a cliff.....I've been playing games for more than 25 years now but this is the best story ever! If you have the time, replay it people!
