On old brake line fittings i always go straight to visegrips. Clamp it down tight and pop it with the palm of your hand. They will usually bust loose then you can use a regular wrench. Make sure you use the visegrip in the right direction!

Looks heaps better short. But one thing for certain is NEVER cut a frame rail straight down.You need to cut a S shape so straight cut down to hallway. Cut around 100mm across then back down. The reason behind this is when you put the frame on It'll be resting on 100mm of shelf. You weld it back up solid anf itll be like new. My mates owns a panel beating shop. I've seen him cut toyota Hilux frames to replace the rusty rear half with a good rear. He does all his frames like that.

Nothing a little Duck tape couldn't handle. All else fails spray some WD in there to help her remember who she is.

As a man who has welded over 3 times in my life i can tell you that is not how to do it. You're suppose to cut a S-shape and simply JB Weld it back together.

That's some clean cutting n welding. But are you not worried about the structural integrity of the frame? I've heard of the practice but in my mind I'm thinking that the bond of the frame and welding rod material can't be as strong as the frame being poured into the mold from factory. I wonder how it will hold up to the factory gvrw standards

Most people don’t have the nuts to do something custom like this to their rig. I’d add a bit of support personally as some mentioned but it should be fine how it is!
