Hallelujah we are having great weather, sunny and warm, it’s been just a bit cooler at night which was great without power. We finally have power so we are so thankful for that, my 2 boys and Russ’ parents still don’t! We are all surviving, at least we are home and my son and his family is with us and my other son has a generator and now my in laws are using our camper and generator so all is well! There are still so many people without power and supplies, that’s awesome that trucks are being sent. Our neighbors in NC was hit hard too, it’s just devastating! My dad’s church in the country is gathering supplies too, everyone is so appreciative of everything that has been donated! Thank you for your prayers and kind words my sweet yankee friend…love and hugs from S.C. 🥰🤗🙏

We struggled growing up too, we didn’t have air conditioning, heated with a wood stove that my mom would feed through the night to keep us warm, bc my dad got up early to go to work, and no tv, but I completely agree, our up bringing made us who we are today and we always had something to eat and lots of love in our home, blessed beyond measure. We finally got our power on late yesterday, when I say that hot bath and my bed felt so good, oh my goodness I was a happy gal 😀 My 2 sons and in-laws are still without power but one has a generator and one is with me, we left our generator with Russ’ parents so we are getting by! I’m glad all was well for your brother 😊 We had a flat top and grill to cook on so we were good, as well as crockpot and instant pot 😀 Thank you for checking in friend 🥰🤗

@@Rhondascountrykitchen Last Sunday night I made stewed potatoes and cornbread. I turned on TV and you were making cornbread. I make mine with peanut oil, Vidalias and yes I put sugar in mine. I make mine really light. When my mother made it heavy no sugar.Cornbread is good anyway you get it. Hello from West Georgia.

Oh honey thank God for a generator 🙌 They said Friday for us and now Monday! The command center is about a mile away from our house and when I have passed at 5am there’s been probably 200 trucks parked, so hopefully they will have us all up and running soon! I’m walking around looking like nobody loves me, but am so grateful we are all ok that’s what matters 🙌 NC was hit so hard too it’s just devastating 🥲Thank you for watching and prayers for ya’all as well 🥰🤗🙏

It really is so much that you don’t think of during these times I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to turn the light switch on lol! Laundry is an issue. I ended up putting my scrubs in the car blasting the heat draping it over my visor just to get my scrubs dry but it worked. 😂 It’s really rough with all the grandkids it’s hot and they don’t understand the concept of no power so we are all just surviving!
