Revisiting and revamping an N gauge model railway layout with a Von Ryan's Express theme. Initially the baseboard was 4'x2' but this was then extended to 2'3'' deep to accommodate additional sidings. The locos are Fleischmann and the rolling stock is of mixed origin. Sound by courtesy of Movie Memories. The layout has been on the exhibition circuit and in it's refurbished form is ready to go ou...

Peter
“And what happens when you find him guilty? According to regulations of course.” “He will be sentenced to death and executed.” “And that will be murder because this man is now a civilian.” From the prison trial scene
Excellent, but unexpected.
It would have been better without the sound track. Let us hear the wind and the engines!
Background music spoiled it.. Should have left the natural audio playing
The tuk tuks were mainly obtained from the Darjeeling Himalayan Rly Society. Most of us are members.
Just found this. Fascinating to look back on what we were doing on IHR years ago. Would this be the show at Hayward’s Heath? 2:41
Hi Mike. Nice layout and display. I'm building a TT Type A track layout here in Australia. Update videos released every second Friday on my channel. Mon
Better than anything at Alton Towers
That is one fantastic layout, Mike! Well-done!
I've had plenty of times like this 🙈🙈🙈 always manage to do the morning tester flight before they cancel crossings 🤣🤣🤣
I thought I saw a model of the African Queen in the background on one of those shots. I'd love to see more of it. That's another of my favorite movies.
That's awesome! What a terrific theme. I love the movie Von Ryan's Express.
Nice video. But please dump that stupid "music"
Good footage . But if that was a storm they would not let it cross although here it is quite choppy. But otherwise I do like the vid
I thought hovercrafts traveled faster?
Not flying into the wind they dont!, As well, they have to slow down, they cant plow into big waves that might damage the skirt or other parts of the hovercraft
@@AdrianDunevein sounds like manufactures need to do some R&D
Music ruined the vid, shame, the video is brilliant.
I couldn´t agree more. The original sound of the scenery is what I want to hear - not some ... irrelevant electronic shit.
It’s the title that is overblown. You can see that the conditions are hard, even if not a storm.
and the music..
Very slow !! ☹️☹️
they're faster but heading into winds like this they aren't! and they have to slow down not to hit any big waves that could possibly damage the skirt or hovercraft
😍🤩
Force 5 beaufort ce n est pas mechant.
No problem . Just a small matter
. Might have been rough but it was like an aeroplane in turbulence .These hovercraft are designed to take it.
Where's the storm? A little choppy water is not a storm... I'd call this a fail, to bad.
if thats a storm then im mickey mouse
So Mickey. You have never been on the sea then🙄
@@stefanniemiec8727 No I would suggest you haven't if you think that's a storm, the swells are tiny, a proper storm would could have 30ft or higher swells which would dwarf the Hovercraft (probably sink it too lol), don't think they are able to handle really bad weather, that's what got me looking.
@@stuarthamilton679 definitely. I grew up there - travelling regularly on that hovercraft route (started with SRN6) - proper storms will dwarf the craft. 🌊😜
Brilliant!!!
Good old Freedom 90!! Still going after nearly 40 years service. Was this in 2020?
No. The hovercraft shown were replaced with two new ones in late 2016.
It was retired after 28 years. There's a clue in its name.
Hi Mike, Great plane, great video. I’m following RC Model Geeks also. Sorry to ask you. What motor are you using in this plane? I do have a Quaker Flash from Ben Buckle equipped with a gas engine from Saito and would like to replace it by electric. Junior 60 and Quaker Flash are more or less identical in terms of dimension and weight. Best regards from Portugal António
The motor is a Turnigy G10, 810kv. I hope that helps.
il peso del quaker flash e del ben buckle quale e' ? grazie per la risposta
marco buonavita 1,3Kg
Grazie molto gentile
Was this in the hovercraft museum
Yes, as it says in the description
V.nice!
what fun.
Thanks Peter. Catch up with you soon.
Very nice video, thanks for sharing.
Great clip awesome
I like the way you arranged for the background music. And how did you persuade the peacock to join in?
And the Peacock kept me awake overnight !! Great to hear it though with the donkeys neighing. peacocks squawking what more can you ask for. Thoroughly enjoyed the event, great organisation, volunteers, catering, venue etc.
Lovely layout it really does look in excellent condition, trains sound very smooth on the tracks. Good quality film too.
Many thanks. It will be at the Model Toy Fair at Arelsford (near the Watercress Line) in June.
I've never seen tuk tuks on a model railway before!! :-) Great stuff!
And so many. I didn't ask where they got them from. Nice touch though.
