Welcome to my channel - My first video!
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
I had no idea those stay wet pallets even existed!
They seriously are the best. I used to use a butcher's tray and plastic wrap it before I found this lol.
What kind of palette do you use? 🎨 And do you prefer oil or acrylic paint? (or are like me and love both!)❤
No just spelled different spelled like Allie
Haven't finish watching the video yet but wanted to say I am extremely enjoying it. It's getting me into the planning mood. I am so excited for 2025.
That’s awesome! I am too 😁🤗
My niece is name is Allie too😊
Is it short for anything? Mines short for Allison, but I’ve gone by Allie my whole life. 😁
I have been going to my church party’s selling them I had one person want to meet me that was cool!
That is cool! 😎 Keep it up! 🙌 Do you have set goals for this year, or after you graduate the program?
After
I want teach people how to sell their Art that are stuck that can’t sell so they can make little money
Woow you went on Milan Art I am in portfolio now
Oh cool! 🙌I feel that’s when it gets so real! 🤗 Good luck on finishing strong! 💪
My biggest art goal is to support your art, believe in you and buy you paint ❤😂
lol thanks love! 🙌😍🥰
My biggest goals are 50 paintings, 50 yt videos, and following through with my July 2025 Art Exhibition! <3
Let’s do it!
What are your top 3 goals for next year??
1. Work and finish 25 original paintings for my solo exhibition, have 5 already started in different stages of completion. 2. Establish my booth layout for in person events. I need to get a banner and organize my displays and overall look. I'm going with purple. And 3. Work on my other passive income streams and start my online shop. I am taking a break from in person events to recover from my second surgery. So I won't be doing 50 like I did this year but probably 5-6 for the entire year of 2025.
Thanks for keeping it real! I love your videos!
You're very welcome! I'm always happy to share what I've learned. ☺️
🫂
I loved listening to you go through the process of using the projector. You verbalized all the craziness that goes through my mind when using it. I love how much detail you put into the projected imagine. I usually just do the outline and color changes. A little extra time makes a huge difference! Thanks for sharing the whole process. After fiddling around looking for my favorite pencils, I ended up putting a piece of washi tape on the end. It makes it much easier to find. Thanks for another great video!!!
I’m glad that helped! ! And thank you for the tip! That will definitely help, I never thought to do that and that makes so much sense.☺️
I don't own a projector but after watching your video, I feel like I NEED one. 😅 Been wanting to paint bigger and bigger lately.
Haha I feel you! 😂 They are definitely worth the investment. I think the one I linked has a 30% coupon going on right now too if you’re interested in the one I used in the video, it does the job just fine for me! Plus, once you go bigger you want to keep painting bigger and bigger and it is so much fun, I think you’ll really enjoy it if you’re gut is telling you to paint bigger! 🤩
I remember thinking the 16x20 was so intimidatingly big when I first started painting, now I don’t want to paint smaller than 23x30! 😂
I’ve had mine for over a year and never had any issues 👍
The cleaning at the end is so satisfying omg
Right? I was going to Timelapse it, but then the last bit was so nice lol 😂
WOW! You are amazing in sharing your artistic knowledge. Everyone should take a lesson!
I appreciate that! I’m always trying to learn too! 😊🫶
Thanks for all the helpful hints!
I'm glad you liked it! 😊🫶

What are your favorite drawing tools?
Beautiful painting! I actually changed the speed to watch it in regular time. For a future idea, I wonder if you could add soft music in the background (nothing loud). Did you apply a fixative to your drawing before the modeling paste or use a permanent ink?
@@JKleinArt ok I will do that next time! I’ve seen other artists do it this way so I thought I might give it a try. I also like the idea of doing real time videos but I’m afraid they’ll be too long… what do you think? (this painting took me between 6-7 hours 😅)
@@JKleinArt and yes! I use the 2x clear fixative spray over charcoal. (I buy it in a 6 pack on amazon lol! 😂)
I love the idea of time lapse videos! I usually watch those videos twice! When a video is too long, many people lose interest. This was perfect!
Ok cool! 😎 thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it🫶
Turned out great!
Thanks! ☺️ I’m trying to figure out if just a straight Timelapse is better, and doing talking videos separate, or integrated into more of the vlog style like I was trying to do… What do you think?
@AllieMacArt That's a tough one for me to answer. Each has it's own positives. I would just do whatever you feel like doing at the time.
@@LifeAsAllen yeah, I think you’re right. I filmed this in real time, 7 hours of footage, 80 gbs. I could barely edit it! 😅 So I thought I would Timelapse the whole thing… but now I’m trying to figure out how to share the process without running out of memory or crashing my computer lol! I could film in Timelapse mode on the Osmo for painting and take breaks in between but you’re right, I think trial and error is the best route at this point, (unless you have video file/compressing “not using as much gbs for videos” kind of tips of course!) ☺️
@AllieMacArt definitely shoot in timelapse mode on the osmo or phone. 7 hours...wow! Or paint faster lol
Haha 😂 yeah working on that for sure! 😅 I’m going to definitely be shooting in Timelapse mode for just straight painting sessions and then switch out to regular mode if I want to say something.
Did anyone hear the bird cooing sound at the end?? lol! ( I think that was me talking sped up, but still!)
Love it! Your space is so cute! ❤️ Now I want to go make my own space to craft lol
Thanks! I hope you get to set up your own crafting space in your new house! ☺️💕
I’m really enjoying your book club! Talking to other artists who also struggle with the same things I do is really helpful!
That’s so awesome!! I’m glad you’re finding it helpful. I’ve been loving it too ☺️🫶
Awesome!
Thanks so much!!!🫶
I love your horse painting and how you showed the various steps. “The War of Art” may be a good Book Club idea!
Thank you so much! And I think you’re right, I think that should be our next book. ☺️
Mentorship makes a huge difference!
100 percent!
The Book Club is great! ❤
@@JKleinArt Thanks! It is! I love discussing books and how we can implement our favorite takeaways 😊🫶
Thanks so much for sharing! We all get in a rut sometimes. I can’t believe the cops stopped you and then you continued to record! I love it! 😂
@@JKleinArt lol thanks! I think I needed a comedic interruption 😂 I can take things too seriously sometimes 😅
@@JKleinArt honestly, I should have just kept recording the whole time and asked if they would be ok being in my video but I got so nervous when they pulled up on me lmbo! 😂
Congrats! Referrals are great!
@@TerryColwell Thanks so much!!! ❤️🙏😊
I have earned only a few dollars from Affiliate links but hope I can grow that profit in the years to come. 😊 Congrats on the profit. Ive seen both videos and I really enjoyed them and hearing about your thoughts on the program.
I know it can seem like not much in the beginning but every little bit adds up, so I encourage you to keep it up! 💪 And thank you so much! ☺️ I’m so happy you enjoyed the videos!! 😊
Congrats! That's awesome! I've put an amazon affiliate link for the cameras I use on my videos, but I don't think anyone has used it.
Thanks so much!!! Yeah, I'm starting to get better at putting in links. Its hit or miss but just keep planting the seeds, you never know which one will sprout! Side note, I have a friend who just got the Pocket 3 and I immediately facepalmed bc I hadn't been including it in my videos up until this one lol. 😅
@@AllieMacArt I think I'm going to do a video about it soon. It is really the perfect camera in so many ways.
@allenreid62 Can't wait! And yes, it is SO amazing, whether you're a professional such as yourself, or someone tech challenged like me lol. 😆
@@AllieMacArt Oh wow...I just checked and saw that I earned a whopping $39.10!!! I hadn't even thought to check it.
Oh my gosh yay!!!! 😃 Congratulations!!! 🍾
You're right Allie, I have joined the community and watched many free workshops. The Mastery Program would be of tremendous benefit if one could afford it! I've watched Dimitra and her and I share similar art temperaments Romantic/Beauty with some Raw/Earth. It wasn't till I watched her paint four styles on the one cardboard and took that temperament quiz that I found out what I was drawn to. Having said that, I will have to be content with the free workshops so graciously offered by Milan Art Institute and hopefully grow from that. Thanks for your review.
I’m glad it was helpful! Figuring out your temperament is SO interesting, I’m glad you were able to! Figuring all that stuff out was why I enjoyed the program so much, but they do offer so much good free content as well! (I binged most of it before I started the program to see if it was a good fit for me lol.)
Wonderful Share ❤. Art therapist … 🎉
Thank you so much! 🫶☺️
Do you have any specific questions about the program that I can answer? Let me know and I'll be happy to expound! :)
Good ideas.
Glad it was helpful! 😄
What have you done to pull yourself out of a rut?
Personally, I did everything in this list I shared! Slowly but surely it’s helping ☺️🫶
Thanks for the tips! ❤
Of course!! 🫶
Stopped by the cops! 😂
Cie la vie lol!!! 🤦🏻♀️😂
ive only watched a few milan art videos on youtube and had to mute their channel, i just don't find them constructive 🙁 maybe i just need to watch more but i just get the "elitist art" vibe from them
I could see how that could come across… I do believe if you stick to their tutorial type videos though they share valuable insights on the techniques of drawing and painting. Especially in the program, it is very informative and to the point (vs them promoting their product through their free content UA-cam/IG) but they do give away a lot of teachings for free which I think is helpful to see if they are the right teachers for you. Learning from who you feel the most comfortable is extremely important. I personally related to Elli being a mom of 4 kids and needed the “pushing” that she kind of offers as an instructor.😅 What is the most important thing you are looking for in an online art program? (The voice section was the part I was most interested in and what I found unique about their program and help me figure out a lot of what I was looking for.)
Wooow !!! 😃
🥰🫶
What a performance-I’m in awe!
Thank you so so much, you just made my day! 🙏🥹🥰
The challenges in being an artist are epic. The truth is though as I also know from.being exposed to and seeing truly capable artists it is both self explanatory and terrifying for less capable individuals such as myself. It's self explanatory in the sense that amazing and capable artists create commercial work without trying immensely hard. This is itself for them a self fulfilling confidence loop. For the rest of us we continue to challenge ourselves and struggle with the myriad of choices and difficulties that stand in our way. What should we do? I say create things that bring us joy and explore things that make it worthwhile and not worry about the consumers of our work but do it because it satisfies us. And ourselves alone.
Well said! I also believe as we are true to our authentic voices as we create and grow, the people who align with us and our expressive message most will find us. :)
Thank you for this video. I was on their waitinglist and decided not to do their program. It’s a year ago I think that Milan art started to show up on my socials and I was intrigued by their style. This year I saw different artists with this same style on artfairs and it’s very easy recognisable. To me that’s not their own voice when it’s still so familiar to Milan. Well, everybody has to decide for themselves. Good luck to you and your channel.
Thank you so much! I know what you mean, since they are the teachers of a certain techniques and styles, I think a lot of students do end up with similar styles of their teachers, or themes to their work, at least initially. I think this can be true of a lot of art programs though. So I believe it makes it that much more important to be true to ourselves, our message, voice and continue to experiment, grow, create and treat our artistic expression as a journey. (As I am learning this myself daily!) 🤓 The voice section and doing more deep work into my “why” and message is when I had breakthroughs in my work and really my mindset in terms of confidence, which is why I think this program is unique. ❤️
Brie is Such a Beauful person!!I have Brie as mentour as well. She is So helpful ! I just Love her and want to Thank her so much😊😃
Cool!!! She is!!! I can’t wait to meet her in person one day too! 🥰 She goes above and beyond for her students and I’m forever grateful to her… I believe she is the reason I had such breakthroughs in my experience with this program because she really helps you dig deep and tackle those mental hurdles we go through as artists.😅
Thank you for this review and I’m following now! ❤
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much! ☺️❤️
Yes…. Save it. You can always add something as well as the buffalo
Great idea!
