i love the detail of how the cats who are seen as a threat are sharper. while her “friends” are round. and how fireheart and cloudpaw keep their collars after bluestar loses hope in starclan. not seeing them as important. just kitty pets she took in. when it first turns abstract. she finds fireheart as comfort. but then when he gets more desperate. she pushes him away. the way it turns abstract and sharp after she doesn’t know what’s right and what’s wrong. her mind detiriorating. this is my favourite pmv. and one of my favourite songs. i adore how when she pushes the dog away from firestar. her eyes are just round. like she doesn’t know what’s right and she’s doing. she just did it.

this pmv got recommended to me at what turned out to be the beginning of one of the worst parts of my life, late feb 2020, and i used to watch it over and over through my late february 2020-early march covid episode, and through the following year and a half before eventually long covid was diagnosable. the intial onset of covid triggered a panic disorder related to breathing that to this day was probably the worst thing i have ever experienced, in conjunction with the lockdowns aa few weeks after (i was asthmatic and worked at a dog kennel, front end, with international business travelers) i wanted yall to know, you never knew me, and you had no idea, but this song and video specifically was a huge comfort to me and helped ground me as a very very scared 22/23 year old who couldn't get answers from anyone. It is also a fantastic representation of the mental health issues from before covid that i had felt i *finally* conquerred a few months before getting covid. I used to just watch this between the covid panic attacks and on the way to my old work after. its been over 4 years but this song ended up being number 2 in my spotify that year. thank you for your beautiful art and beautiful animation and depictions of paranoia/panic/fear/loss of trust in the trustworthy/the descent into It All and thank you for getting it out when you did. I don’t like the message. It’s my opinion but it frames it as if squirrel was toxic and wanted to hurt him, get to him make him feel pain when it was never like that . She dated him for a bit after she broke up with bramble then broke up with ashfur and went back to dating bramble . Sure kinda sad for ash but she never MEANT to hurt him he was insane if anyone does this after the breakup they would not be a good partner because if he actually loved her he could still be mad, sad ect . He should‘not (spoiler) try and KILL her children and her father , possess her mate also he was kinda clingy. So yes he can be angry but saying squirrel pushed him to evil is just kinda wrong. But do what you want as long as you make sure this is like your interpretation and not canon in the books remember kids watch this they try to understand the world through these books a bit so it affect how they see their relationships and might blame themselves for an abusive partner’s actions.

I think I made a comment on here a few years ago calling Squirrelflight a wh*re and I have now come here to apologize to my now favourite character and that person little me was arguing with. You go Squirrel! Also nice PMV

Details: Bluestar's allies and closer friends are round. Her enemys are spikey and sharp. Neutral cats are a mix. Both fireheart and cloudpaw still have collars. Fireheart's is blue because bluestar brought him into clan life. Cloudpaw has a red one because fireheart brought him into clan life Instead of everything instantly turning abstract. It happens a little bit at a time. First thing. Eyes. Second. Shape. Third. Colour. This was an amazing map! I absolutely love it. And how bluestar still sees fireheart as just a crying naive child who just wants peace!

god i love the art style change when bluestar loses her faith and mind. its more visceral and she looks like a deer in headlights. fireheart and cloudpaw/tail having their collars is also a nice touch.
