Hey mate awesome vid! When you talk about setting up the pinion angle for welding - is it as simple as doing them parallel with the original ones or are they adjusted to compensate for the diff dropping?

Where did you get the bump stop brackets for the sway bar mate

I remember riding that track in the late 80's. It was more of a single track back then. The step at the end was nowhere near as bad as it is now. The main challenge was keeping enough momentum to get up that bit at the end. Great memories - a lot of the tracks we loved no longer exist and many others are locked.

I have done it. But every time I put any torque onto the rear diff. The diff rotates and pinion goes down

That rock step on the way out that veers right the one at 11.45 mark, on our way out I got up but a range rover that was with us blew his rear diff centre, we only went to that point and did a uturn and just broke it right there had to use a jimny to winch it up 😂😂

Hahaha.... We made front & rear leaf sprung 47series LandCruisers super flex 45years ago, 12"frt/14"rears. Used the same principle as we did in the CJ Jeeps. I like the way you've done it❤

Hey man, my diff builder in Sydney recommended against Nitro gears when i grenaded my front diff. He preferred factory gears with solid spacer as he reckons Nitro are too brittle

Your biggest mistake was having Landcruiser diffs 😉 hehe

Spring pack on top of the axle, same as Hi-lux. What Toyota should have done. But then, dudes keep buying the crap that comes out of factory without question, simply because it's a ýota. Wheel drop or droop is over-rated - when a wheel is at max droop or near to it, it does not have any ground pressure to grip the ground anyway. Might look impressive, but does little to propel the car because it just cannot bite the ground without down pressure which is a function of vehicle mass/gravity. But where your modification works is the raised spring plate height which removes the factory in-built ground anchor. Something I did to my 1985 MK Patrol 40 odd years ago!

Yea engineering leaf under axles to over axles i always thought was a gray area for engineering. Everyone always says it can't be engineered any more. Would love to know. Have you ever thought about superior drop shackles for shits and giggles

Spring over axle raises the rear roll centre which improves handling.
