I agree with Kayla this was a quick video 😂😂, honestly I can watch you guys for hours, y'all are just so entertaining. Also I didn't really like the prologue much when I read it, and I was even more bummed out when I saw it was a love choice story 😑

I agree there is a lot about the prologue that seems kind of ridiculous. When I played it I found it difficult to stretch my disbelief with how naive and quickly the Mc gets over everything. I have seen the cheating partner in a few voltage titles but this just felt so generic. I really like In Your Arms Tonight {the first one. The second I only liked Ryosuke since the writing outside of his was really not that good} because it felt more drama and was more entertaining for me personally. Also, the Liar game voltage had which was more investigative in the ways that Even if Tempest should have had from a gameplay perspective. {Which I am still disappointed the rest of it was never brought over the west since there was more Liar! content and it was really unique compared to Voltage's regular content and I think they made a movie or live action of it.} I love childhood friends as well. But the prologue very felt very cliche and didn't give me hopes of it being good. At least not good enough for the extreme price which is would be with it being LC. If it was like the regular titles and you paid with coins I would feel better paying for it since LC routes are way too expensive for the content you are given and I only really likes A world without you because the concept of angst and a ghost bf was unique but would have liked if it we could just buy the stories . I just don't like LC. Anyway, I feel like Voltage has done childhood friends better in Dreamy days and my last first kiss. Also, TMGS3 especially does it better. That for LC prices there are just better options. Also, I am so excited for Snowkissed revamp.

It's a shame that this is love choice because I actually really like this concept centered around nostalgia and new beginnings...I am not a love choice or gatcha girlie because I think it's low key a scam lol. Would much rather buy a game at full price so that I can play it as many times as I want and can get all the good endings without having to shell out some extra bucks. Anyways, loved your commentary on the game especially because of the insight you have because y'all are also game developers!

I’m sooo late I finally got the entire game on steam after losing all my purchased stories/ routes when they wiped this game. I tried to save them prior but couldn’t bc they never responded to my complaint getting the game a month before they closed it 😅. I was so salty so many years ago but ended up getting it half off on a sale this past summer. Sorry for being late watching ur review

I have played at least part of all of them but TMGS4. I played TMGS3 the most and it is the first one I played and my favorite because it is one of the most easygoing one's out of the three I played. Since I only played part the three games. I love the fact that you can get clothes items that can help you in each playthrough depending on how well your fashion is to use in other playthroughs. I am not a fan of the Valentine's day mini game in one and two. I am glad it easier on switch since I did so on the ds and I still can't do it right. I am not good most of the minigames ngl. With 3 I got decent at them but some if them I am still not the best at. Also, love bombing is so stressful that is why I like TMG3 more along with Rula and Kouichi who are my favorites because they are one of the best childhood dynamics I swear. I love their brotherly bond and their relationship with the mc. It feels so organic and fun. It has to be one of my favorite childhood friend plots other than some Dreamy day's seasons. I just like a good childhood friend dynamic. I like how there is a 3p and even where the guys can fight over you. I played almost all the regular standard guy routes in 3 besides Ruka. I still git to finish him. Then go the side guys and 3p and the fight routes and friend routes. I enjoy it so much I do want to do all the routes eventually. I only played one route of TMG1 and TMG2. In the first I was going for Madoka bit switched to Kazuma because he is a tsundere and so I couldn't resist. When I met him in the game. It was difficult though because if the love bombing. With 2 I actually only completed Taku, the hikkomori guy you go to his house. It was really sweet. I only played a bit of a new route and going for Hikami in that one. I like how unlike most otome games all the characters or pretty much all or almost guys with names have endings. Along with girls having friendship routes. Unlike when games have the cursed attractive side character you can never date. Also, it is fun to do Stat raising since not many otome games have game play. I can only think of a few that do. I like doing side things. I like the casual nature and the fact that you kind have a different route each time. It makes TMGS games really fun and unique.

Thank you for reviewing this series! Compared to the Brother's Conflict games, the Tokimeki Memorial series has a lot more challenging stat building.

Yayy so glad y’all did a video about Tokimeki😊 2 is my favorite overall but 3 almost beats it with the Sakurai brother alone lol. A similar stat raising game is Girlish Love Revolution where you play a 100kg girl and the goal is to lose weight on top of raising your stats. The weight loss aspect adds another layer of complexity, so it’s basically Tokimeki on steroids in terms of strategic difficulty😂 Seems like you guys like Tokimeki for the easy going slice of life vibe but it’s worthy challenge if you like strategy🙂

I remember playing Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 2 years ago via emulator & a ROM and I got burned out on the stat building and ended up alone. The bombs made the game unnecessarily complicated, so I'm glad they got rid of that system. You would think with how popular otome games have gotten in the west over the years they'd localize these games. It's a good thing the fan translations exist.
