"Started to feel like a chore after a while" = Ubisoft. Frontiers of Pandora was such a mindless grind, a really unimaginative application of their tired open world formula. And numerous times I got punished for exploring, because many locations are locked until you hit a specific quest marker. They just churn these games out at this point!

13:30 As someone who advocates for real life cultures experiencing this as we speak, I think the fact they included the "guilt" is clever and well done. Yes. It's just a game from a movie. But I love the fact it's a game that makes us feel "human". Instead of mindlessly killing every animal you see, it tried to show that you DO have an effect on the world around you.

Something about the phrase "making me feel guilty for being human" struck me in a certain way, and I'm not really sure how to explain it. I was always heavily bullied growing up (to the point I felt I wasn't human) and came to resent "humans" as I saw more and more of how messed up the world is. To me, "human" refers to the species, and "person" refers to someone who has empathy, humanity, compassion, and understanding with regards to not just others, but the world as a whole. In my headspace, a "human" _might_ say "Life isn't fair, so get used to it!" but a "person" *will* say "Life isn't fair, so we should make it that way". FULL DISCLAIMER: Per legal definitions, all humans are persons, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I do not dispute this in any way, shape, and/or form. Also, I am well aware that I am a human per the scientific definition and nothing will ever change that. If you take any issue with my very personal, _philosophical_ defining of "person" and "human", please understand that those words are being used in place of more suitable words that do not exist in the English lexicon (or any lexicon, as far as I know). Your "guilt" in Frontiers of being human made me curious-- because I felt none of that;; I wonder if it's because I'm a queer poc and the story of being a colonized or oppressed people fighting back may have resonated with me MORE because of my racial and queer background. I obviously cant speak to your life experiences, race, identity ect, but out of curiosity does the guilt you felt come from not being a minority OR from a want to escape being a minority? Cause I could see how both could be exhausting to constantly reminded of while just tryna have blue fun. xD For me each story that reminded me why I was fighting the RDA just made me wanna kick their butts more! Cause at first I was all "oh no I don't wanna hurt the little guys, maybe it's just their job" (I tend to favor non-lethal approaches in games) but the game was like don't worry they SUCC! All the "good" humans are on your side, take out those other jerks! haha

I completely forgot about the 09 game, with Frontiers, I really enjoyed the feel of it, namely because it’s a world I could get lost in hours,especially at night, Pandora looks so beautiful at night (and Ngl, inspired something for me) and I haven’t even finished the story, I just get a direhorse or my Ikran and just run/fly around the world

As someone who loves avatar, frontiers was a masterpiece, it was invested in lore and the backstory of the MC is because they are child of both worlds and they have missed out on their culture and basically half their life, i can understand why the game is trying to make everything about the MC backstory because the game is based on defeating RDA and getting freedom to pandora and learning our culture and you might not able to enjoy guilt free due to the game and movies being about colonization and the movies focuses on colonization and the tribes of the past being colonizated and the deforestation of natives in the Amazon and other world countries, there also is many weapons that do different things but i sense your play style is fast and combat and not very calm or casually and thats amazing i admire your skill but i think frontiers is a little more realistic

Honestly, I feel more immersed on Frontiers BECAUSE of the 1st Person view. You can even adjust the eyesight view to make it more realistic for a broader pan. Having 3rd Person on mounts is a good balance as well.

I feel like your playing the wrong games, maybe, fall back on candy crush or tap titans. You know? afk mobile games or card games. Something less story rich with more engagement with easier controls.

Very underrated i prefer this than Jak or Ratchet. This needs to be remastered

As a huge Avatar fan I was extremely disappointed with Frontiers of Pandora. I don't think the way they used the Universe was done very well

I am pretty sure the 2009 game is canon as Cameron himself worked on the story and wanted it to bridge with the movie storyBtw the RDA campaign is better in my opinion, it's more fleshed out and you have a final boss

From my memory, the main collectable eggs are normal lizard eggs that the main villain stole and is mutating to create an army and invade the multiverse. The first boss is an example of the kind of monster that's created if the eggs are allowed to fully mutate and fall back under his clutches.

This just look like a game you could easily get lost in. But there is something about the swimming animation where the top half of the body looks really stiff!

never heard or seen this game yeah it reminds me of Avatar as well BUT also a lot of Kameo Elements of Power for the 360 which also had abilities for the elements (transforming in creatures to the corresponding elements) that were also mapped to the four colored buttons Azurik really fells like a C or D game, the animations especially for the main character looks really rough, even the pickup of the floating objects just doesnt look good, they just disappear without any animation or anything.

This video made me realize my love for Black Myth Wukong stems from an old obsession with Azurk demos 😅

As somebody who loves Avatar, Frontiers was magical to me. I remember when i did my first play through when I escaped TAP i teared up from taking in the world. I actually felt like i was in Pandora, and 400 some hours sunk into the game (yes I'm addicted ik) it's still magical and special. I think the game will always have a special place in my heart.
