Hi, thanks I have not seen this before. If you could design a pole/sail/etc with a shape which causes mechanical vibration in the wind, would it produce more energy? If the mechanical vibration was at the natural mechanical reasonance of the pole it might be better. Also, you might need to place the piezo at the point on the pole that has the best matching to the piezo for maximum power generation? Just a thought.

Not the best idea- not even a good idea. To extract power from the win, you must reduce its speed in a big area. Conventional wind turbines do this by the lift force of their blades. You have no idea how wind energy converters work, do you?
