Happy to say the method shared by TheJaseku worked for my Cannon MX432 printer - thank you Jaseku another printed saved from the garbage for now ! This procedure really works. They don't need to call the Canon support line, because it won't help, they will say that the printer is discontinued and there is no repair, they are so environmentally friendly, and are so concerned about reducing their environmental footprint, that they even advise us to go buy another one!
