You say: "A vegan diet, on the other hand, is one that excludes all animal products, including honey, leather, and wool." But leather and wool are not food for humans, so how can they be in any person's diet?

Basically the way we need to view carbohydrates in the diet, is to view it as what it is, a toxin. It is a poison, there is no place whatever in the human diet for exogenous carbohydrates. The background is, for the last 4.5 million years, give or take, humans and immediately prehuman species have lived on this planet under a given lifestyle, obligate hyper carnivore. How do we know that is true? Because what we can do is something called stable isotope testing. We can find the human and prehuman remains, there are skeletal structures and long bones that were left behind. We can open those long bones up and we can get some collagen, collagen is the most common protein in the human body. Collagen is a very stable protein it dries out after the body dies, but it remains intact for hundreds of thousands of years. We can analyze the makeup of that collagen in terms of the stable isotope makeups in terms of the carbon and the nitrogen found in the collagen of the long bones, and that tells us, slam dunk, no question, no debate, no maybe, no if no but. It tells us what that individual definitely ate during it´s lifetime. Down to the specific speciation of animals that that human being was predating on and eating. What that data tells us is that human beings for at least 350,000 years which is as long as human beings have existed in our current form, we have definitely unequivocally eaten a diet of which consisted of 80% the flesh and fat of large ruminant animals, with a few other animals thrown in here and there, and 20% very, very fibrous; very, very starch poor roots and tubers, basically very very fibrous materials. And that 20% of fibrous materials were stuff that we were digging up, collecting, taking home, boiling the hell out of probably and EATING IT as some kind of slop stuff to subsist when the hunt was unsuccessful or the animals were not there to predate upon. It wasn´t starch roots like our current tubers and roots that are starchy, selectively bred to be so. This was basically fiber is what these people were eating. As you know fiber breaks down under the enteric system only under the influence of bacteria that basically break it down a little bit, and what they produce for us is short chain fatty acids, not carbohydrates. So basically the human diet for 350,000 years, up to the point of the Agrarian revolution kicked in about 8000 years ago, human beings ate a diet which, to all intents and purposes was proteins and fats, given that the fiber broke down to short chain fatty acids and not carbohydrates. There was no carbohydrate in the human diet at all, zero. For 2 to 3 weeks a year, before the winter time, there were berries, we did still have a saliva amylase gene because there is no negative selection pressure to knock it out. The other 50 weeks no carbohydrates at all. The berries, activating the Randall cycle, helped our ancestors fatten up for the winter when animals were scarce.

This is a great recipe. I duplicated it and it is good. The text indicates tomato paste, a cup of tomato paste is a hell of a lot of tomato. The video clearly shows the use of tomato sauce. 200 grams of rice. This is the only metric measurement, why? Stick to imperial or metric.

That is tomato puree! In Australia tomato paste is very thick. I made this with what we call tomato paste + the stock and it was really too thick to cook properly and it was gluggy unfortunately, however the flavour was amazing though.
