Toning my hair with boxed colour hair dye by Schwarzkopf to get rid of yellow and orange tones…
Переглядів 8 тис.9 місяців тому
The boxed dye journey continues with toning using permanent hair dye colours in blue and purple. I know it would probably be more effective to go with a professional toner, but I am determined to find a supermarket-ready 'permanent' solution that's accessible to all (and also just too lazy to source developers and toners separately from specialised stores). And to be honest, a lot of the produc...
Testing out Garnier Olia B+++ (No Ammonia) Bleach on dark Asia hair - can it really lift to blonde?!

My determination in finding a boxed dye that works on Asian hair types continues... To my surprise, the results were better than anticipated! Best of all, it's less damaging than other leading brands with ammonia - at least that's what they have us believe ;)

How I discovered the secret to fixing orange hair from accidentally dying my hair blue!
Переглядів 2,1 тис.9 місяців тому
The hair saga continues as I try to dye my hair lilac with a mixture of BRITE semi-permanent hair dyes (pastel purple and blue)… But in doing so, I discovered an important colour wheel fact that I had overlooked! Colours opposite on the colour wheel cancels out but I was focusing on the wrong toner this whole time 😅
Can this L’Oreal Silver Grey boxed dye save my yellow orange hair?

Reviewing L’Oreal Preference Vivid Colours - Silver Grey on bleached hair that’s gone wrong. Hoping to help others with dark Asian hair like me who have accidentally bleached it yellow orange. Not sponsored by L’Oreal!
You are very brave.
Put some drops of Gentian Violet in your conditioner and it will turn kill your yellow right away turning into ash color. I follow those instructions from a YT video and and my red and yellow were tamed. My hair is ash tone now.
Blue will cancel out the orange. If you leave the Bleach on long enough to lift up out of the Orange stage and in to more of yellow, your blonde will be able to neutralize with a purple.
I don't think box color is the way to go. You need to have experience doing this if you want to go from a 1 to 9/10 or you could melt your hair
😂 Bleach hair first to very blonde shade then try the silver
I've never seen that product used, so thank you for that video Maybe you could try a wella toner or another brand on your next toning video. ❤
Looks much better, I was worried it may turn green on you. Looks so much calmer now❤
Noooooo. She needs to go to a salon. Now I’m solid silver naturally I started going gray at 19. Box color is ok if you’re only going up 1-2 levels. Yikes.
I have watched 100 videos trying to get the best outcome results to help me make a decision on canceling out this brassy + yellow hair of mine and yours was the best one so far! Simple but knowledgeable and your results came out really nice imo ❤🎉 thank you for sharing
Totally better
It says leave it for 2 weeks so you leave it for 2 days😂 you are a true vigilante, a rebel flirting with danger just on the right side of the law😂❤❤❤
You did a great job. You can also try using toner shampoos a few times to keep toning the yellow areas out. Over time the colour will change
I really appreciated this video, ty! ❤
Next time get black blue hair dye and mix with a clarifying shampoo put on hair. I don't remember how many minutes. There is a UA-cam video. I don't remember her name. But she had a parot in the video.
I just wanna say thank you for posting this!!! I put a blue toned light gray permanent hair color on top of my orange hair and it turned a cool toned blonde!!!! So much better than bleaching and it worked!!
It looked great. 😂
i am hair dresser and i can tell you ,make dark color its better for you.
Love the end result <3 great job! Thank you for sharing!
When you said it's been 2 days, I knew this was the video I needed to watch. My hair is exactly like yours right now.
So beautiful with your skin tone!!!
I want to start by saying that you’re beautiful no matter what ❤ but noooooo! You need to lighten your ends again, then go over your hair with a level 7! It would be like a beautiful light brown/dark blonde colour and would look amazing on you! Also, hello! Another Aussie! Nice to see your video! ❤
Sorry I know this video is a little old but if are looking for a good toner just tone the crap out of yellow hair I suggest the Lavender grey toner by bleach london its purple and silver on the hox but on yellow and buttery blonde hair it just turns it a lovely platinum.
Try L'Oreal R48. You will look like brand new person ❤
looks a million times better
If you want to neutralize your hair color into a cool blonde watch a few of the videos where they use blue black hair dye as a toner.
Thanks it did help
You are beautifully blessed
Yes it toned your hair in my opinion!
Take up baking you like mixing things and leave your hair to the professionals
Your crazy your going around and around in circles
Make more you can throw the excess away ..use toners add up all the costs and tell yourself was it worth not going to see a professional
The green walls complements your hair
At school i used food dye
Now that I've achieved the look of a condom Lol
I just bleached my hair and the only toner I have is silver so I’m super happy I found your video 😊new sub
Fellow Aussie here. Your hair looks great. You did well. 🇦🇺
I just want to let you know it is very normal for your hair to turn yellow at your first attempt because your hair has different coloured pigments that dominate your hair and your must be red or a gingery shade, what you usually do is take the colour down gradually if you are starting with dark hair and wanting to go blonde, if you think about it, it makes sense. I just thought I'd send you this to let you know you did not fail and just needed to take a longer look at it. 😊 good luck with your other ventures
I have used this colour and got a very silver result, I you had used a "Cornwell" colour remover first, I think it would have worked
Glad your bringing awareness to dark Asian hair! I also have super thick, dark indian hair. I always have hairdressers saying they won't go super light on my hair. So I bleach it at home. Box dyes don't ever turn out how you want as we have so much yellow pigment. I've been silver white, lilac, pink over the last 2 years. The only way is bleach and I love schwarzkopf Blond me toner in Ice shade to fix the yellow. I leave it on longer than advised as so it really takes. Sometimes toning again the next day. That might be quicker and defo works for me! 😊
I really appreciate the review and that you tried the Amazon brand
Hi! Dont know how I discovered you, but i like your style and manner. I'm in Wisconsin, where are you? Your accent is beautiful.
U have to bleach ya hair to white blondish . And color over
Thx I'm gonna try it just got it .I was stuck on Loreal cos it's great tbh but I didn't know it has ammonia😢this could become my new go to bleach Garnier nutrisse d++left my hair a bit dry but this Garnier olia may B good😊🎉
Lolol. You're a good sport. I would be crying.
Hey I use Wella T22 and T14, you should try!
came here to say this, wella t14 for sure will help the ends and i like mixing with the beige ones/ t11 or t27:)
Lol at 2 days you sound like me haha 😂 I love u bahaha
Looks better❤
Watching you damage your hair for attention is pathetic
Looks really nice and “gentle” now
Girl, your hair is still too orangy and brassy to be able to deposit that fragile tone hair colour GRAY. You need to scrape out all that thick layers of orangy and brass . Bleach again up to pale banana yellow/ a bit of yellow just a bit of it to make sure some of its health remains in the hair only those light colours like gray will stay in your hair. Most importantly to lift the hair first to a desired lightness of blonde. Because hair colours do not lift the hair they just sit on the hair so it the lower layers are much darker its impossible for the upper colour to cover them all up.
