Perseid Meteor Shower 2024 Highlights - Real Time 4K
The Perseid Meteor Shower 2024 was the best meteor shower show in years! There were so many fireballs, many of which I managed to capture on video. The Aurora Borealis (northern lights also put in an appearance and I watched meteors shoot through the Aurora! It was one of the best nights I have ever had under the stars. The video was shot August 11th and 12th 2024 near Cuckmere Haven, England, UK, which is a fantastic dark sky area.

Northern Lights Explode Across the South of England - 10th May 2024
Переглядів 1 тис.8 місяців тому
On 10th may 2024, the largest solar storm since 2001 raged across Earth’s atmosphere. The northern lights were visible overhead from Devon, England and it was one of the best nights of my life. Never did I think I would see the aurora overhead from the south of England. All the colours were visible to the naked eye and it really was a sight to behold. This video was shot from mid-Devon, not far...

Incredible Wildflower Meadow

Is this the most beautiful wildflower meadow in Britain? It's got to be up there! This wildflower meadow in Somerset is an absolutely stunning example of a unimproved wildflower grassland. Unimproved wildflower meadows have declined by 97% since the the 1930's and only 3% now remain. The remaining fragments are isolated and well scattered across the country. Somerset has just 22 ha of this habi...

Geminid Meteor Shower 2022 - Real Time 4K with Fireballs

The Geminid meteor in 2022 was pretty spectacular. I went out to shoot the shower on the peak night in North Devon, UK. There were some amazing fireball meteors with long trails and it was definitely worth the bitterly cold temperatures and snow. The footage was captured on a Sony A7iii with A Sigma 20mm F1.4 ART Lens. The shower will be even more spectacular in 2023 as there will be no moon li...

I'm from the Pacific Northwest and so much of this looks so familiar to me. A shame this isn't as well known. At least my excuse is I'm not even from England! But I'm glad I stumbled upon this thanks to the algorithm. I hope you can get it restored, as someone who's so grateful to live in a similarly beautiful region.

The night of the perseids in 2023 was the night I fell in love with astronomy. Me and my best friend went on a trip to beaufort sc with his family. This was an annual trip but it was my first time going. Since I live in Atlanta, you could barely see the planets. But when we pulled over on the side of the road to let the dog use the bathroom, I decided to look up and what I saw was the Milky Way galaxy stretching from horizon to horizon. That was my first time ever seeing the Milky Way, let alone the amount of stars I saw. It happened to be the night before the perseids so I sutck my head outside the window the enitre time and saw so many meteors. Most of them were green, some red, some white, and even a few fireballs. When we acually got to the house, I didn't even unload the car because all I wanted to do was lie out on the dock and watch meteors streak across the band of the Milky Way. And ever since then, I've been hooked to astronomy and astrophotography. And the perseids in 2024 brought back a lot of nostalgia from that night. I'm very thankful that I also shared that same experience with my best friend who I also like to call my brother.

So So beautiful. There is a farmer in Somerset who grows from seed a wild flower meadow, when I last went it was full of cornflowers corn cockles and even poppies which sometimes don't like competing with the others. Glorious. We haven't been since covid restrictions. Please try to find time to add more content to your channel, it is truly magical.

*Absolutely awesome documentary, a love-letter to the British temporate rainforest. As you say, I like most Brits, feel barely aware of this habitat as part of my cultural identity, and no wonder; I've never seen this in a mainstream nature documentary! I hope that your work contributes to a greater widespread awareness of the magic and power of these habitats, and that people realise that economic and social policies change, but if we lose these wild places, they will be gone forever. We live in one of the most ecologically deprived nations in Europe, and mainstream media showing the 'garden of england' with its neat hedges and sterile lawns, gives the impression that things are fine, when the reality is that we have destroyed true ecologically health ecosystems like this to almost total extinction. We must reconnect to the magic of the land on an emotional level as a society if we stand any chance of preserving it, and media like this inspires so much emotion that it will hopefully make people pay attention. This gives me a small glimmer of hope*

I do not know why the algorithm suggested this 3 year old video. But I am glad it did. This was so stunning I had to stop doing the washing up and sit down and watch it properly. It made me feel quite emotional, beautifully composed. You should feel proud. I now want to revisit Dartmoor for the forests.

On thanksgiving night about 8:20 pm , A big , bright , Bolide came right above , I got to see it slowing and struggling as it got in to thicker and thicker air , It was bluish green with a very bright white core , When it exploded ,It turned night to a bright noon day. It left the longest lasting train I have ever seen . The train trail left hanging in the sky ...was like gold dust , actually looked like gold tinsel like on a Christmas tree . Whitish grey smoke trail , with beautiful gold dusty tendrils flowing down. It hung there for about 2 to 3 whole seconds. FINALLY a first ... My wife , sister in law and best friend were with me and saw the whole thing ! We had a radio blasting , If we hadn't , I'm certain we would have heard it explode . This was probably seen from multiple states. This was in Englewood Florida.

I managed the first two or three minutes and I would have liked to see the rest of what promised to be a really interesting documentary, but that background music is so overbearing and, frankly, so depressing that I had to stop. You don't need continuous background music in a documentary about nature. Please think about not using it in future.
