JR Yamanote Line E231-500 series
This is my latest video when I was in Tokyo Japan in May 2009, I realize this upload is rather late. The reason why I have added practically no videos in the past few years was due to two things my Sony DSC-P92 for the most part wasn't able to take a video more than .5 seconds meaning I couldn't make a purposeful video its no good as a camera either so its finished. Second thing was I started working thus I don't have enough time to do this. Most of my videos apart from the NYC video were done when I was still in college so I was able to video during business hours unlike now.
Anyways I actually liked the E231-500 trains even before I saw them in person. They run on the Yamanote line which is one of Tokyo's oldest commuter rail lines dating back to the 19th century. Fortunately this video was taken on a weekend so it wasn't very crowded since the Yamanote line is very busy during weekdays. The interior of the train is very modern and more high tech than I'm used to. I rather liked the JR system...I just wish it were cheaper.

Here is a video of a 1999 YRT Orion VI #9931 on Route 83 Trench at Richmond Hill Center. This bus is a former Richmond Hill Transit bus formerly numbered #531. This bus during most of its time at YRT was used on light routes in contrast to its counterparts from the other divisions. Today only Route 83 Trench happens to use these particular Orion VIs.

This is a 2002 Thomas SLF 235 on Route 87 Langstaff-Maple at YRT's newest terminal Richmond Hill Center. To those of you looking from Europe at this video you may know the body is that of an Alexander ALX200. The SLFs were some of the first buses YRT managed to order after the almalgamation of the 4 transit systems in York Region. YRT has both SLF 230 and 235, the last two digits refer to the s...
TTC Orion VI #9220
Переглядів 28 тис.18 років тому
This is a video of a 1997 TTC Orion VI #9220 on Route 29 Dufferin at Wilson station. The Orion VI is yet another bus that is retiring, one may be confused because its newer than most buses but its the fact that its a CNG(Compressed natural gas) bus. The VI in particular would be unpractical to convert to diesel so it will be retired while the TTC stops using CNG for good. The TTC expects to ret...
TTC GM Classic #6259

Here is another GM Classic video, with 6259 on a rush hour branch for Route 24A Victoria Park at Don Mills station. Don Mills is indoor terminal which explains the darkness of the place. This time around my camera decided to cut the video short so the video does the job but seems incomplete.

This is a video of 1985 Flyer D901 #6102 ready to begin its next run on Route 169 Huntingwood which is a rush hour only route. Edit September 8, 2006: This bus was retired by September 1st, 2006. This video was also the last time it was...

This is a 1979 GM New Look purchased by the Société de transport de Montréal or STM for short and was numbered 22-009. This is a video of 1985 Flyer D901 #6056 returning to Malvern garage taken on August 18, 2006. This video isn't too interesting but shows the speed the D901 can build up given the time despite using the outdated 6V71N. Edit: This bus retired in March 2007.
ngl this was a waste of money and retired them too early

Awesome footage.
Awesome footage.
Sound like San Juan AMA RTS 1980 and 1983
That GM #2241 was an 1981, I wish NYC MTA would had some D901/02s at Staten Island and Queens
All 6000’s replaced by Toronto Rocket
Times were so different back then
Which sounded better in this Video, D901 or GM?
It's crazy how both of the buses in this video are retired now. I know, y'all got rid of your Series 50 Orion VIIs by around 2018-19.
Jesus that bus flew out of scarborough town centre
TTC's bus fleet back in the 80's, 90's and early 00's was bitchin'!! A wide variety of bus types. Those were TTC's glory days.
We also had 139 in Ottawa but they got read of theam and sold them away and theirs 2 that they ceep fore mamery

I miss those D901's.
was this vid made in 2006 or 2005
Too sad that the RTS retired in 2019.
Was only 4 back in '06. I'm 18 now, and have my own UA-cam transit channel.
Was this video recorded in June? Because I see snow on the ground in this video.
This was recorded Dec 2005.
Sounds like Detroit Diesel 6v92
No is the Cummins L10G
@@DARKNIGHT-525 thank you. This one is for CNG?
This video is old.
Is 7461 Ontario_Transit's favorite bus?
They retired the new flyer but not gmc
This is why an articulated bus pops up on 129 to end crushloads. It was nice riding this route with this, Fishbowls and the Orion V.
i only remember the new looks and orion 5s i would love to ride one of those
i miss the 9200 series rode them from 2003-2004
9200-9249
@@E-sterOfficial I miss them so much I ridden them on 60 and 105 route
@@crescenttransit54studios retired before i was even born
@LucasWalks61 TTC try their best to convert them to diesel and claim it will lose wheelchair position
9200s are replaced with Nova's
That not a Orion 7
The GMC New Looks are one of my favorites in the TTC fleet. They were also here before I was born. Are these buses still around or in service?
sounds like the Orion V
