If you attack him ranged after he attacks the gnolls, then he'll go hostile to you. If you then invis, the gnolls will continue to attack him but he doesn't fight back. Wait 10 mins and he's dead - plus you didn't get the rep hit from killing him yourself!

In enhanced edition you need at least 2 party members with ranged attack. He casts a charm person and if your main gets charmed without a 2nd character in your party the game ends as if your main died. I attack him from opposite side far enough away that my 2 active party members can't see each other. I trapped him today with 4 characters. Might be possible to trap with less especially if theres an object nearby.

You cheated exploited it and you cannot summon that much plus you are at lv 1 and on the computer version. You did not do it solo

I love how the EE fixed most of these tricksies... killing Drizzt should not be easy. But I also love with what kind of solution people come up if the incentive is high enough.

Tried to beat him with a full team of around level 6 with the good old version of the game. He's one tough kill. Anything I tried he always won. Finally got him by summoning waves of monsters with magics and a wand. Then while he was dealing with them I showered him with arrows and such and i used wand of paralyzation on him till it worked. Once paralyzed I went full melee on him and he died fast. Not sure its worth it tho, you lose 10 rep, the armor isnt that good and I think you cant keep the gear in BG2. Best just to steal the 1 sword you're allowed and leave him be. Btw, you can body block him with only 4 characters. I tried tho 2 of my companions left when dismissed so I couldnt try the trick. Also, the armor doesn't let you use magic when wearing it. Finally the second sword, the one you cant just steal from him cannot be used by a character evil or neutral.

Yeah man this is cheating. Honestly it's not hard to do fair, just have your entire party pepper him with ranged attacks while you use your fastest character (boots of speed help) to kite his attention. You can also chunk a huge portion of his health using Dorn's blackguard poison if you get some lucky hits in. You can also start attacking him right away as soon as he begins fighting the gnolls, which gives you time to get some free shots in, because he won't focus you until he's done with the gnolls.

One of my favorite things in BG (and all games in which you design you character in general) is to use my own portrait, in BG I remember my first days modding, replacing soundtracks with my voice, recorded with a primitive software I remember haha!

Hahaha I've played and re-played uncountable times and never notice this glitch! Although I would never use it in a serious gameplay ;)

The path-finding algorithm is really bad in Baldur. So annoying ! The game is great otherwise (one of my favorite ever)
