As an Irish supporter that was a very enjoyable discussion. Thanks fellas. Tim quoted Roddy Doyle there. It reminds me of the very funny film 'The Van', which based on Doyle's book and is set in Ireland during the 1990 world cup. They didnt say rules need a twist...Thats not the role for the commission, they found some rules to be unlawfull. The premier league where the once who came out at said that the rules needed minor twist, that could be done within 10 days.but that the rules in totality was backed by the commission. Later twist of events will have it the league then pulled out of trying to make a fast fix to the rules.. Besides city being able to get their sponsorships retested, thats all we got out of this so far.

Oh my god, that was an amazing, inspiring and informative podcast that had me choked-up so many times. I'm a white Londoner and a Gooner who was lucky enough to be a season ticket holder on the North Bank between 1988-1993. First of all RIP Super Kev and Rocky, the good guys seem to go too soon. Through reading and watching the interviews of our black players back then I immersed myself in the music of Monie Love, De La Soul and our local heroes Soul II Soul. It was the first time in my life that I had an indescribable connection between where I was from, who my heroes were and what I was. At the end of the nineties I was lucky enough to be at a Ninja Tunes Night in Old Street. It was one of the best nights of my life and it dawned on me during this podcast that black Londoners and their culture, food and music, helped me on the path to finding my place in life, as well as my politics and my music taste. Thank you again, I can't wait to read the book. I'll probably be in floods of tears reading that too.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. This was NJ’s decision. He forced him out the club by taking him off early in most games towards the end of last season. NJ made it clear he wanted big hulking units up top who run about. Goals didn’t matter to him. Right now NJ feels vindicated. Nothing I’ve seen from this team fills me with confidence that our narrow battling wins will consistently continue this season. I believe we will end up outside the play offs having played awful football all year and looking like a side who can’t score or do anything at all in possession. If a manager can’t fit the best player in the league into his system then he is tactically flawed, rigid and incompetent. Was May the problem or was NJ the problem. Fans will currently leap to NJ’s defence given current league position but I don’t think our performances can sustain these results and if that comes to pass it will be NJ not Methven who deserves the opprobrium.

I met someone from Derby who was a member of Derby Labour Club. So was Brian Clough. This guy said that Clough was unrecognisable at the Labour Club. He smiled, was polite, knew all the bar staff's names and was as quiet as a mouse. I sometimes wonder if all this showmanship was just an act he put on for the footballing side of his life....
