Hi, enjoying the replay for my afternoon sprints.

The leaderboard is keeping me going, not gonna lie. I'm trying to get more used to dictation, and am hoping for a big spike in the next few days!

here's how my first 6 days of the wordy writer challenge went. let me know how you did! 💜

I'm new in this of tracking words, thanks to explain, I write on Spanish but I absolutely join the Wordy Writer Challenge, I hope I can write 40.000 words this month.

Afternoon! Im at home and will use your sprints for my rough draft words today. I have my orange candle lit, Also orange calcite and blue lace agate to my left. (yes I am left handed)

Ream has been adding more features lately, and despite interpersonal stuff within the company... I think it's a decent place to keep posting. Discoverability is getting better. And they added audio capability! I'm stoked for that. I hope you can find somewhere to keep going with your story, so it doesn't get abandoned because of Vella tanking. The Big River totally failed the program, and it's a bummer. I'm still posting on Ream, but I'm giving Substack a try, too.

You can still promote your story and funnel readers to your Patreon (or Ream if you decide to use it). You could also switch this series to The Serialized or the Episodic experience (maybe even the Ream experience if you end up going that route). Like you, I wasn’t buy them phasing out. Vella. I’m glad I have memberships from the very beginning so it doesn’t really affect me. Good luck making a decision that works for you and excites you!

That's the first time I've seen anyone really talk about TrackBear in depth enough that I could understand the love. It looks awesome. I've been tracking my own 100KQ4 challenge on my own annual spreadsheet, but now I wanna check out TrackBear. And I'm going to be doing the Wordy Writer Challenge too. There's a couple other challenges going on as well that I'm tracking different projects for since I'm a project hopper and I can assign different projects to different challenges. Thanks for this video. I'm looking forward to all the challenges!

I find that the months went way way to fast as well1 Things at home have been crazy good up and down. I also have a new desk top computer that I moved into my new spare room office! Ill be working on my revision goals this quarter and some business things as well.

I am really glad that I found someone talking more about this platform. I really do see it as Amazon's version of Webtoon and I really do want to see it succeed, but I would like to be able to do this for a living (it's the dream) but, I don't know how to find readers that will be able to be constructive as well as be interested in the story so that I can ultimately publish it as a full novel in the coming year. Things have changed so much in over a decade that I am now trying to find my footing again. As for stories, I have two of them up. 'A Distant Key' and 'The Butcher'. I'll take whatever I can get in the form of critique as this is the third draft of it and I hope to finalize it soon. Keep up the solid content and happy spooky season!

I think the hardest lesson I've learned as a writer this year is that you won't always be motivated to write, but if you wait until you're motivated, nothing will ever get finished. Writing relies more on discipline than motivation: even writing a hundred words a day will add up in the long run. I'm glad Kindle Vella has reinvigorated that love of writing for you! I love Veiled Secrets SO MUCH and can't wait to see how things develop!!

My first half of July has been a little slow on the writing front, but I feel like I still accomplished quite a bit! How are you doing so far? xo

This vlog was so relatable! I love romancing the beat, but I also find sometimes there is external plot points I don’t know how to outline without using something else. Mixing the two beat sheets is a great idea!

I'm not really sure where June went and can't believe it is already nearing the end of July. I forgot all about this vlog from June because I was so busy. But here it is and let me know how you all have been and what you're working on! xo 💜

I'm aiming for 96000 words across four projects. It is definitely gonna be difficult--because I'm starting Sunday (now that I am done with school and vacationing for the next couple of months....) That's 4k words a day for the next 24 days. Wishing all those writers out there the best of luck!

Just found your channel and first vlog I've watched so wasn't quite sure what writing challenge you were doing until I read the description. Love this! Will probably be joining in August. Trying something new in July, so not setting a WC goal. Great vlog! Congrats on what you accomplished, even if it wasn't everything you wanted.

I have been enjoying the livestream sprints! I feel so productive when we are all writing together. I noticed that you also talk about Discord. Can you make a video about Discord? I have a Discord account, but I am not familiar with that platform or know how it could help me as a writer.

I had that same problem with the notepad falling off. I was annoyed. lol

I would like to work on world building. I have a huge world I have created. I am at work today till 430. Very slow, so I will write on and off as long as my office is empty. I know I am behind. But I shall try to catch up. Loving your hair sista!
