Dynamax Pokémon: Is it better to raise CP, or Increase Max Attack Level? One additional piece of information that may not be obvious: raising a Pokémon to Lv. 30 makes it WAY more viable outside of Max Battles. It can be used in raids and Rocket Battles, as well. Calling this stuff MAX everything sure makes it harder to talk clearly about. MAX MOVES are special to Dynamax Pokémon, and are UNLOC...

Pokemon Go July 2024 - Aquatic Paradise Event
When they introduced the remote pass, I started spending $100 weekly. We had 3 consistent players in our comm, unless we drive 40+ minutes to the city. So the 3 of us could invite up to 5 others and typically have 5-7 players in raids. It was the best. Then they nerfed the remote pass. Raised the price and limited the amount you can even use. Well its amazing how much money they have saved me by doing that. I was so addicted to playing it never bothered me I was spending a car payment on a game every month. But I was not the only one I was in groups from other countries. But sadly Niantic decided they did not like $ after all, so they killed our groups by killing remote content.
Group of max 4 people. Some actual strategy to beat. Great idea. Why turn this into an Elite Mega Rayquaza day? Why even design the UI for groups of 4 if you need 20 people? :(
Gigantamax is difficult but getting 25k per raid was great and I did it with 6 people but we had maxed out Pokemon edit: I hope in the next Pokemon game coming out their will be new content released with Pokemon go as well
Hopefully one day they lower the amount of people needed. 😢
They should have released just one of the kanto g-max boss, not all three. That way we could have built pokemon effectively rather than having to build three rushed ones. And as i type this, you mention it 😂
Thank you for the video and the well thought out explanation of opinions. I definitely agree with quite a lot of the points made. I wanted to share my biggest friction in the game recently as well. Generally speaking if you want to play the newest group content (max, shadow raids, remote raid changes, etc) you 99% likely need to leave the game app. I find the play cycle I fall in is open pokemon go, minimize pokemon go, open campfire, then try to plan to play when others are playing (if there are even others). there is a ton of friction in that process with quite a few "broken rules" of marketing namely retention marketing's #1 rule of "keep them here". I believe this has been a bigger trend of Niantic that d-max g-max is highlighting. Intrinsic vs extrinsic value motivators and the friction points of how they deliver play. I appreciate your content with messaging like "if you're not having fun with a game, spend your time elsewhere". It can take a LOT of motivation to go through all those steps and I regularly "give up" half way through bc I need to do real life things as priority, I don't see the value in a release/event, or I am just not having fun in that play loop. Which is absolutely fine. I like this game a lot, I want to love it, but I find myself at odds with game mechanics or decisions bc it undermines my capacity of play. Certainly as a casual player I try to find a balance in how or when I engage with the game but certainly there's an honest friction of not being able to engage with the game when I am in a place I want to or am capable of. Logistics will always be a big friction point no matter what game or industry. I've been fortunate to play at go fest or in heavily populated places like NYC but even living a 30 min drive out of NYC there are huge "gaps" in people available to play. Coordinating 20 people, hopping on / off the event group, traveling to / from a meetup even in the best of cases is really difficult. That is not a flexible cycle that can fit a lot of people's "play schedules". So it becomes a friction point and ultimately leads to "not having fun, so not gonna play". This is where game development has made choices to those means then asking the community to fill in a lot of those games. Thank you for coming to my teddiursa talk.
"It was about as epic as tapping a phone screen can get!" I love this! I found your pointed rant about community engagement (willingness) to be satisfying. As a gamer coming from WoW, I hadn't thought about the similarity to MMORPG games that involve group strategy and planning, but I totally agree. I hosted 2 groups on Campfire, one yesterday and another today, and we were able to get the G-Max's down with 10 people by the end, although there were a lot of people cheering, lol. I found this a stark contrast to the previous weekend, where we banged out heads against the wall for hours, unable to get any done (Sunday was different - more people, more strategy, but I wasn't able to make it). Going from that to leading local groups wouldn't have been possible if not for that MMORPG experience, and something else? Persistence, perseverance, the expectation that failing a bunch of times is okay? I don't know what to call it, but this weekend, we weren't going to give up, and if anybody didn't want to interact with the group, that was totally fine. We actually always had people off on the sidelines playing "solo." Great perspective today. Thank you for this passionate content. While I will disagree with the multiple accounts, maybe Niantic could use the data they've collected to see how many players are in any given area, and add some NPC's that jump in with people during raids or G-Max battles? It would take some serious work for a feature like that, but it could be fun. Still, I've been rescued by trainers with multiple accounts enough times that I'm not going to look down on anybody.
It was my experience from Destiny & Destiny 2 that directly lead me to where I am with the PoGO community around me now. Destiny required a smaller group (6), but MUCH more by-the-second coordination and a heavy time investment. It become unsustainable as our clan members started to build careers and families. It's funny, because playing GO gives me those little hits of nostalgia for my Destiny days. I had the same roll with Destiny as I do now with GO: provide strategic information and coordinate the group. It's a lot more people to manage, but a lot less strategy. I'm all for multi account users. If they can split their brain that way, power to the gamer. I haven't come across a single compelling reason for why it would be considered cheating, except from Niantic's POV where a single individual would technically get more "free" content. Even if they're kicking themselves out of gyms for coins, it's not much different from just coordinating with a friend/family member to do the same. I've thought about the NPC thing, too, like the mainline games have. I think it would unfortunately just take away from the point of getting a group together. Now that we're seeing groups of under 10 people (very well equipped), completing the battles, it proves that, given time, even small, dedicated communities can get it done.
@@PokeeSeanGO I love the thorough response. I hope you're right that we'll continue to be able to do these in small groups; I hope the decreased difficulty will continue. :)
Did one max raid and the damn thing ran , I was pissed , I didn’t get much more hope after cause me and 10 others kept getting that same glitch so I just did my daily snd went home , it’s cool to see more stuff happening but man they have to fix these bugs that happen to often it’s making me scared to even attempt a raid but good video keep em coming sir knowledge king 👑👻
There aren’t that many Gmax forms, so hopefully we’ll get a better shot at them again soon.
Ah yes the king returns with more knowledge 🙏🙏🗣️🗣️❤️
I agree with everything you said!
Could not agree more that raids should be insta catch.
calling anything raiding or catching related endgame is rather strange. once you've caught everything, finished every platinum medal and every collection, the only remaining true endgame is PVP in GBL... if Niantic would take better care of the gamestate
Calling PVP endgame is strange. Never heard of another game where the players consider PVP to be end game content. It's just PVP and sort of it's own thing. If you started the game today, the end game would first be 5-star raids, then Gmax battles. Collection isn't so much end game as it is just an inevitability of playing long enough.
I think for Kanto starters we shouldve got a special research with a Gmax Starter which we then would use to beat its weakness then use that to get the other weakness ie Charizard to get Venusaur to get Blastoise.
That would have been nice, and rewarding. Choose a Kanto starter and evolve it into a Gmax 3rd stage.
OMG im an idiot!!!! I was sooo friggin confused why every Zorua was TINY! NOW I GET IT!!! DUH 🙄😂😂
It's not an end game because newbies in large cities can join the 40 person lobby and get gigentamax mon.
finally a guy with common sense.Very well articulated.
L take
Brain rot comment with no explanation, nice contribution to the conversation
@GhostOfZion I contributed greatly
I am fortunate to live in an area with an active community ambasador in Campfire. He has been posting group events that have brought large clusters of people to do the Giganttttttamax battles. Large enough that we encountered some police who feared we were forming up to riot. Groups over 140 eople. It feals a bit like I heard the first few weeks were like. I started the game in 2018, and getting a group of more than 20 together has been something of legend until Gigantamax. I don't know if this is sustainable, even in my active commuity area.
That sounds amazing. I’m sure it will die off a bit, but if you can maintain a core 15-20, that’s the best.
The End Game. Spoof to a big city and finish the game.
If it was not for the ban hammer I would have. I was looking into it just before remote raid pass.
You should quite your being a bitching Betty and your entire point is invalid
The combat System is very Bad. Had more gigantamax fights today. We have all won. But i had fights there i lose 0 HP and fights there i get 1 hit. To evate an attack its pure luck if you want Dodge it. I hope they will fix it.
A lot depends on the move set of the boss.
@@PokeeSeanGO I am rather new (since this spring) but the part about the moveset the raid bosses have for maxraid to me should be fixed. If they want us to strategize to take them down (which I love btw) and then having to re-lobby to get poison attack for metagross to be the beast I want it to be ..... It is very very hard to coordinate with 20 people. And for the love of god please let me team up using party, I don't want to play with 2 randoms having underleveled wooloos ..... My lvl 3 shield doesn't matter much if the rest of the team cant do any damage!
Totally agree. They should just use moves of their type and you should definitely be teamed with your party when joining. Greedent would have been the hero if Gengar was always using Ghost moves.
Your defective
It's cheating because you can because best friends then lucky and keep self trading lucky legendary you should stop your the reason Niantic has so many little stupid rules
Who cares if they can lucky trade every few months or so? Unless you Master league PVP this only benefits the community. Also real resources/time had to be invested on both accounts to even have legendaries to trade. I wouldn’t really call it cheating or a ban able offense
So two people trading legendary shiny Pokémon in a lucky trade isn’t cheating, but two accounts used by the same person is? What’s the difference? Considering how little IVs matter, especially going from an IV floor of 10s to 12s, that can’t be it. The stardust discount is the only other advantage, and any trade can randomly go lucky to help with that.
It’s like calling someone who lives with another Pokémon Go player is cheating because they can easily do 100 trades a day.
@@PokeeSeanGO frequently of the trading gives that person a unfair advantage they do 10 mewtwo raid and there already lucky friends with themselves they trade and now they have the possibility that the 3 2 stars are now high 3 over a matter of a week. But the big question is why do you need 2 accounts
The only one is getting cheated is Niantic, I guess. More free daily raid passes 😂 That’s probably why it’s against the TOS.
Be better if your not good enough you don't deserve to catch it you don't deserve a raid boss
It's statistically unlikely that you'll catch every single raid boss you ever encounter, even if you always throw golden razz excellents. With only 10 balls for Gmax, and the way Premier balls work by slightly increasing your odds with each throw, it's no wonder we've heard of even the best players not catching every one. It's just a numbers game.
@PokeeSeanGO what I'm saying is if your gonna complain about it then quite playing go if you have such a problem with how the game is don't play simple as that
@@TrollFace-f2udid you watch the video? The game is fun. My point about people using multiple accounts is that it made these raids doable by our community. Not enough players otherwise.
@PokeeSeanGO after the nerf 12 people with semi powered up did it I feel that's fair
Couldn't agree with you more on every point. Had so much fun. I can really only here the pleas of of rural players I suppose, but this brought my smaller community out and about so often, made it a real challenge and therefore a more fun experience. I also agree so heavily with the point about how large streamers were interacting with the system -- couldn't really believe it when I saw it. Thanks for the vid!
I live in an area with about 100k people, and maybe 40 PoGO players (some with multiple accounts) that would consider meeting up for something like this. Today we had the most I've ever seen, at 33 accounts. Most are young adults, and everyone has conflicting schedules. It's hard to coordinate, but if no one tries, no one wins.
I have mix feeling with max raids. That feature has a lot of potential and to be honest, I think it's already better than regular raids. It needs some strategy, coordination with other players and requires different amount of max particles to enter the raid, depending on the raid tier. Comparing to regular raids, where you just need some strong pokemon, mindlessly taping the screen and on top of that you use the same raid pass to get into the raid, despite its tier. At the same time I'm completely disappointed that my entire storage means nothing now. I've been playing since the very beginning of the game and there is nothing more discouraging to me than telling, that I have to start everything almost from scratch. Before, I was able to help casual players or new players with low level accounts to do the raids. Now, unless I powerup a pokemon that I don't want to powerup (because I already have it a hundo at Lv50, with a special move, max mega level etc.) my progress means nothing more than the progress on an account of a random kid that has started to play the game a week ago. I want max raids be the true end game content - even more difficult that the initial launch of gigantamax starters, but letting me go all out with all of my pokemon. Instead of being the team leader and helper, I've got nerfed into a newbie. I'm not gonna engage into that.
I’m thinking of it as a sequel. I was heavily involved in Destiny as it moved to Destiny 2, and pretty much everything people are saying about Max I’ve heard before. At least the game and our Pokémon didn’t actually get left behind for the sake of new content, unlike with Destiny.
@@PokeeSeanGO - I agree. Our old Pokemon still have all the value they had before for gyms, raids, and PvP. Now there is new content which we can do or not, without much concern about how it will impact the other aspects of the game. Going forward, I will of course plan to power up my best Gigantamax pokemon, rather than having one for raiding and another for max battles.
It was nice to be excited about the Kanto starters again, but maybe I’m just a Gen 1 boomer now. 😝
The video below pretty much sums up what I think of Gigantamax Pokémon. The feature is amazing, but due to it being so isolated and polarizing, I haven't bothered with it yet, and I probably never will. ua-cam.com/video/ydLN3oWi2o0/v-deo.htmlsi=VM9ejy8Kdk6iOVLG
I like his channel - I’ll give that a watch, thanks!
Niantic bumps up the difficulty slightly and everyone loses their minds. Coming from an RPG fan I love the new battle system. Every game has an end game content and this is Niantics version of it. People don’t wanna spend their resources and be carried through the game. I’m just speaking about communities who have enough people and still couldn’t beat it. Excellent video!
I especially hate it when shills defend Niantic that Raid Boss encounters are simply Bonus Encounters and not the real reward for defeating the Raid Boss. Especially with the Max Battles now, I want to see these shills seethe.
I totally do raids for the Max Revives and Fast TMs 🫠 The raid boss is the main reason to do a raid - ridiculous to think of it as a bonus encounter in a game where catching Pokémon to the whole point!
It’s bad but thankfully it isn’t relevant.
Easily skippable, agreed.
Definitely not doable if you want to remain solo. As it is we were able to do it with 25ish. Id love the ability to remote these so i can play as much as i want but as a general feature its fun
I think it would have also worked better, honestly, as an activity that absolutely required 4 players. Then it’s not out of a reach for a crazy solo player with 4 phones.
I loved this video, this is actually the first one I've seen from your channel and I'm thoroughly impressed at the content and it's delivery. I couldn't agree more about your point at around 6:30, same trainers have enough dust and candy to roar of time for 24 hours for videos, but didn't want to spend anything powering up lol.
Thanks! It’s a new type of video for me, but hoping I can do a bit more like this.
you have genuinely became my favorite pokemon go content creator this format of video feels like i’m sitting down with a friend and just debriefing together about the game and our experiences with current events going on really thankful the algorithm led me to your channel you truly have something unique and i can tell you have alot of passion for creating these videos and it’s obvious you have passion and love for the game and it shows in the content you make thanks so much for taking the time to invest into creating such informative videos i always learn so much hope you and your family had a fun and safe halloween!! 🎃
🥰🥰 Thank you for saying all that. More to come :)
@@PokeeSeanGOHey buddy it's not letting me comment on here 😮 Only reply! Do you know why this is happening?
No idea. I don’t have anyone blocked on the channel. The UA-cam mobile app does that to me sometimes.
there should have been progress with dynamax. going from 3star max battle that can be done solo to a 6star where 40 people fail is ridiculous. you need to let people build up a comfortable roster. it's like having primal raids in 2016... it would just be impossible. also raid days give you extra passes, this should have been done here as well. we get 800 to 1000 particles. i can power up pokemon and raid with different items. DM and GM you need to use the same. imagine you can power up your mewtwo only by feeding it a raid pass...
Exactly. The on-boarding was terrible.
We couldn’t find anyone to do raids with, but we started to engage and join a community and now we made friends and meet up and do everything together. That’s what this game is made for
i want solo end game content tbh
Same. I think we need a challenging class of raid built just for solo play. I think Rockets were intended to be that, but they aren’t difficult once you’re well equipped.
But in the main game this max raids are community based well right?
thing is the end game content should be accessible to everyone
It is, u just gotta go 😂
@@unclejamesx9808 It's not "Pokémon Stay"
@@unclejamesx9808 Ik lmao but realistically speaking walking around and catching wild pokemon isnt really end game content, and although raids are a good way to play end game content they usually require more than 2+ people to beat. And dynamax well you might as well start your own army at that point. Truth is, the majority of players play the game causually, only making time for it during weekend events or really good events
That’s sort of the thing about ‘end game’ content - it’s not for casual play. Any other game I’ve played, the end game required more from a player to complete.
@@PokeeSeanGO my guy, the "more" you are refering too is just real life money that you whales need to throw at niantic for that mp
Gmax battles at worst for new players and way bad for Small community
Definitely not built for small communities or new players.
I lost 1 gmax gengar today , most of the throws were excellent even though I lost it, i dont think they reduced the difficulty
They did reduce it.
@@unclejamesx9808 may be
It took me more throws to get than I was expecting.
good video, but doubtful I will ever do one

So I have a 100% Dmax Charizard and a 84% Gigantamax Charizard. With limited candies left, which should I Power up.
At the moment, neither. Wait until you need it for a battle. In the mean time, you can find more candy. I don’t have the data yet for now much more effective Gmax is over Dmax, but I’ll put out that video when I do the tests.
Very informative video 👍
