With all do respect, I feel like you missed the point of Turning. While we care more about the characters the story focus on, I feel like it is a nice reminder that a lot of people we haven't heard about also dies in the revolution. It is bloody and horrifying, and a little stop to remember the many thousands grieving that we never hear about outside of that, feels like a nice inclusion to me. Just like you mentioned that you liked the Orchestra got highlightet.
